What's happening between Sean and Beyza?
Reverting a Relationship
"She called you that?!" Beyza screeched after hearing about Sean's heartbreaking moment on the frozen pond. "What the--Aren't you good enough...Where is Miss High and Mighty right now? I'm going to slap the--"
"Whoa! Calm down, Bey. It's already been dealt with," Sean interrupted his ex-girlfriend. Always concerned about not making a scene, he glanced around the hallway, but the closest people were far down the hall.
After asking to speak to the dark-haired girl in private, Sean had Beyza wheel him back the way his mom brought him. Once they'd turned the corner just past the restrooms, Sean filled his ex in about his cabin trip. Beyza had immediately noticed the odd portion of Sean's story and wanted to know why he'd walked back by himself. She'd barely reacted as her ex-boyfriend admitted that Ramsey had been the girl he had a crush on during their relationship. Yet, she flipped out over the name mix-up.
"I hope that you told her off, but I bet you didn't," the angry teen said knowingly.
Sean tried to explain that he felt as wrong as Ramsey, if not more, since he'd been the one who liked her. However, Beyza wouldn't hear it. Instead, she challenged him to find someone in the senior class whose name he didn't know. When she shrieked that Ramsey should see every person as a reporter for the school newspaper, Sean shushed her as Mr. and Mrs. Fox walked by.
"Ramsey, huh? I'm not surprised. I had her on my list."
"List?"
"Sure, I tried to figure out the other girl's name," Beyza revealed. "Guess it's a good thing that I had Ramsey as number four. Imagine if I had told her to back off from my boyfriend. That would've been a confusing threat to her as she doesn't know your damn name!"
"Number four? Who else--"
"Who else was on my list? Well, I had Sienna ranked next. You did ask her to prom twice, but you'd be a moron if it were her. She also rejected you twice." Beyza patted his cheek, which caused Sean to glance down at her cleavage.
Tonight must be her dad's shift at the fire station. He'd never let her leave the house in that type of a dress, Sean speculated. Beyza wore a short, white dress that showcased plenty of skin.
"I had Lacey as number two."
"Lacey?! But she's just a family friend," Sean reminded. What's with all this talk about Lacey and me all of a sudden?
"Duh, she's Lana's little sister." Beyza rolled her eyes as Sean held up his hands as if to say 'So what'. "Oh, please, anyone with a brain knows that you get hard around Lana. Not that anyone blames you."
"I guess," Sean mumbled before sitting up straighter. "Wait, so who did you have as number one? Whitney?"
"Whitney Diamond? Yeah, right!" Beyza scoffed at the suggestion. "You're not Max. Even you know that Whitney is out of your league. Maybe add a few years to your age and grow some confidence."
"Gee, thanks," Sean muttered.
"Nope, I had Iona as number one."
"Iona O'Hara?"
"No, the other girl in Honey Hollow named Iona. Are you sure you didn't get a concussion? No, then don't be a dumbass," Beyza added with a light slap to his head. "Of course, Iona O'Hara."
"Why would you think I like her?"
"She's JoJo's other good friend, so Iona's always around. She's got a nice body and a reputation for using it. Plus, I've seen the way you get tongue-tied and blush whenever she's around."
"That's not because I have a thing for her," Sean protested. "Iona likes to bust my balls. So she's always making sexual comments around me just to make me squirm. She used to do the same to JoJo until Jo freaked out badly one time."
"Oh. You know that does sound like Iona. Hmm, I guess I was wrong about that one. Oh, well, not my problem any longer," the dark-haired teen remarked, shrugging.
"Yeah, that's my fault. I'm sorry again for being a bad boyfriend, Bey. Actually, I guess you should call me a shitty--"
"Enough!" the passionate teen barked. Standing with one hand on her hip and the other in his face with a wagging finger, Beyza looked hot in Sean's mind.
Shit, I totally screwed up with her. Mom's right. I need to learn and never take another girl for granted again.
"You already apologized. So don't turn into a whiny little boy. No!" Beyza commanded as Sean tried to do that. "Did you ever cheat on me? Were you ever not a nice guy to me? Did you ever **** me, verbally or physically? That's a big fat no to all except maybe emotional cheating on me with your crush. And those are the things that a bad or shitty boyfriend does."
"Okay, I guess. But you were a good girlfriend, and I wasn't," Sean commented.
"No. I was a great girlfriend, and you were a disappointing boyfriend. But you're also an immature teenager, so I shouldn't be surprised." Beyza saw his startled face and clarified. "My mom explained that last part to me. She knows a lot about immature guys."
Sean didn't quite understand that last part but nodded anyway. Still, he noticed how Beyza's demeanor had changed since the last few dozen times they'd talked or seen each other. Then there was also that kiss she gave him out in the ballroom.
"Uh, you don't seem as mad at me."
"I'm still not happy with you!" Beyza hissed before her face softened at once. "Sorry. I've been thinking long and hard these last couple of weeks. Look, when I heard what happened with Whitney on the ice, that made me think about how short life could be. Then I found out that you risked your life to rescue her, which made me think even more. You could have died!"
"I know, but someone had to save Whitney," Sean responded, almost sounding embarrassed.
"I'm proud of you for doing it. Most people would be too scared and run off for help."
"If I remember right from the hospital, that's what my dad yelled that I should've done."
"I might still be pissed at my ex-boyfriend, but I'm proud of my friend." Beyza noticed the shock on Sean's face. "Yes, I realized that we were friends before we dated, and I would like to be friends again. If not now, then someday, once enough time has passed."
"Uh, so you don't want to start dating me again?" Sean questioned in confusion.
"Why would you think that?"
"Um, because you kissed me back there like you wanted to."
Sean didn't know whether he should be mad or relieved at the way his ex-girlfriend broke into uncontrollable giggles. He ended up falling into the annoyed category as she couldn't stop laughing. When she eventually did, Beyza's answer threw him off again.
"That wasn't an I-want-you-back kiss. That was one friend showing another friend how happy I am that you're alive and that I knew you could be a hero. Yes, you're just like those stories about your grandpa. Didn't JoJo give you the same kiss?"
"No!" Sean exclaimed in horror.
"Got ya!" Beyza smirked before dodging Sean's attempt at a playful slap. After several moments, her face turned more serious. "Look, I'm not going to be that kind of girl. As nice as you are, I'm not going to come running back to you. My first boyfriend should've made me his whole world."
"I know, I know. And I'm sor--I mean, I learned from my mistakes," Sean began, after catching himself from saying sorry again. "You should go find a new boyfriend who will give you all his attention."
"Nope. Not happening."
"What? Why not?" Sean questioned, feeling as if he had missed something.
"I already tried that. I made a fool of myself chasing after Jayden several nights ago at Metropolis. I wore this killer red dress, and he turned me down."
"Why would he do that? Because of Delilah?" Sean inquired. He figured that maybe Jayden didn't want to upset his cousin by dating one of her closest friends.
"No, Delilah loved the idea. It turns out that Jayden is one loyal guy. He said that I was your girl," Beyza explained. Although she said it without any heat in her voice, her eyes held a question.
"My girl?! No, no, no! I never claimed any dibs on you after we broke up. I swear!" Sean denied.
"Then, Jayden must be one of those guys who won't date his friends' ex-girlfriends no matter what. Or that's what Aunt Miranda suggested when she heard about what happened. I won't repeat what Mom said," Beyza recounted, cringing at her mom's advice.
"Hey, I can talk to Jayden if you want," Sean offered.
"No, I already moved on and embarrassed myself enough."
"Yeah, I can see how you feel that way," Sean admitted, recalling Sienna's prom rejections.
"Oh, I wasn't talking about Jayden. No, I felt unwanted and made an even bigger mess," the dark-haired teen said. Her face flashed a sick look for a second before she continued. "So, at Delilah's party, I sort of hooked up with Lucas Prescott."
"Lucas Pres--Hooked up how?"
"I slept with him," Beyza admitted sheepishly.
"Why?!"
"Hey! That's none of your business," she snapped.
"Right, right, sorry," Sean apologized, holding up his hands.
"No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you," Beyza replied. "I just felt like crap. You didn't like me enough, then Jayden shot me down, and Lucas was just there. Even if he wanted me for one night, I needed that."
"Crap. I'm so--no, I am sorry. If I hadn't been a disappointing first boyfriend, then you wouldn't--"
"It was my choice, Sean," Beyza insisted. "Maybe those few drinks helped, but I knew what I was doing. Still, I felt wrong the next day. I went through a lot of emotions, but I'm glad it happened."
"Bey, please don't think that Lucas will--"
"Oh, no! I'm glad because of my decision. Beyza Baris is no longer going to chase after her next boyfriend. No, she's going to make the boys chase after her for a date. And then, if they earned the right, only then, will I sleep with them."
"Um, that's great--I mean, sounds like a great idea," Sean replied, after struggling over how to respond. "I would never want you to be a girl who goes after guys like Prescott."
"And I won't," Beyza said firmly. I don't want to end up with a reputation like Mom. What's better is what people don't know.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to help. I can tell guys like Jayden that they shouldn't cross you off their lists because of me," Sean offered. "I think that is the least I can do for you."
"Hmm, I'll consider it," Beyza replied. She mused over how funny it might be to make Sean do even more. A guilty ex-boyfriend might prove fun as a helper, to a certain extent, of course. "So what about you? Have your next truelove lined up already? I imagine that girls will flock to be the new hero's girlfriend."
"That's not going to happen. I can't get a girlfriend," Sean stated grumpily.
"Why not? Are you grounded?"
"Mom won't let me date until college. She wants me to enjoy the last months of high school by gaining experience with multiple girls. Or as she calls it: I'm to sow my wild oats," Sean revealed.
"Holy shit! For real?" Beyza screamed.
"Shhh!" Sean shushed.
For some reason unknown to Sean, Chet Ragg chased Abby Pharr down the hall while begging for another chance. Something about Marcus got said, but they'd stopped bickering at Beyza's scream.
"Sorry, just talking about the big news," Beyza told their classmates. Only once Abby resumed her speed-walking with Chet following did Beyza start again. "Your mom wants you to screw a bunch of girls."
"Yeah, basically."
"Wow, I mean, wow! I've heard stories about your mom when she was younger, but I could never believe that she was like that back then. She seems so serious...she's a doctor!"
"How do you think I feel? She's hinted at some crazy stuff that she did in high school. I don't want to know that!" Sean declared. "But, nooo, I need to gain experience so that I'm not uptight about sex."
"That sounds like something my mom would say...if my dad were at least fifty--no, a hundred miles out of town," Beyza remarked. "I guess I need to rephrase my question. So who's on your to-fuck list?"
"Uh, I don't know if I get a say." With Beyza's eyes widening, Sean attempted to explain. "See, my mom listed a bunch of girls last night that I should experience before college starts. That list seems to have grown today as she's taken me around to reacquaint myself with. These are the daughters of our moms' old cheermates."
"This is insane! And strangely fascinating," Beyza commented with her lips forming a smirk. "Wait until Lilah hears about this."
"Bey, you can't tell people!"
"Hey, she's got to be on your mom's list, right?" Then, seeing his nod, she added, "Ha! I knew it. So does your mom have an order?"
"You're finding this way too funny," Sean remarked with a dirty look.
"Consider it payback for being in love with Girl-Who-Doesn't-Know-Your-Name while dating me."
"Fair enough," Sean said in defeat. "So, um, I don't think my mom is going to handle the date-to-date operations. I'm pretty sure that Whitney is going to be in charge of that."
"Whitney?!"
"Mom and Whitney have hit it off this week. And since I rescued her, Whitney claims that it's her job to reward me with other girls."
"Okay, that's understandable. With Whitney, I mean. The stuff with your mom is weird. If my dad weren't so conservative, I could've seen my mom doing this stuff for me," Beyza commented. "So I'm going to guess that Seanie will be knocking down the cheer squad before graduation. Ooh, should I warn Rory or let Whitney spring it on her?"
"Don't tell anyone!" Sean hissed as an elderly woman rounded the corner. She looked at the two teenagers in confusion. "Oh, hello, Mrs. Hardwicke. Happy Holidays!"
Beyza also extended the same greetings to their former junior high literature teacher. Mrs. Hardwicke's eyes narrowed before responding with a curt greeting. Then she turned and went back the way she had come.
"Gawd, I never liked that woman," Beyza stated.
"Really? I liked her class."
"I know," she reminded, having been in that class with Sean. "Are you planning on popping Rory's v-card?"
"No! Well, I don't think so," Seam admitted. "Mom wants me to play around with girls who have experience. And she's not just talking about cheerleaders. She's got Sugarbees on her list."
"Whitney won't go for--ooh! Maybe your mom will ask Delilah for help with that squad," Beyza speculated. Any weirdness about the situation had evaporated as she found teasing about his future to be fun. Smirking, she tried to make the sexiest face possible. "So, am I on the list?"
"What? No! I, uh, don't know."
"If I am, I expect you to beg," Beyza declared, attempting to act serious. "And I'd better be a girl saved for later. I might want to see what a Sean with added experience is like compared to the virgin version I had."
"Reminiscing about losing your virginities to each other?" a new voice inquired. The shock of the unnoticed newcomer caused both teens to jump or hop in Sean's case.
They both turned to find a vision of purpleness.
"Hi, Mrs. Lockett!" Beyza greeted.
"Now, what have I told you?"
"Hi, Aunt Gabriela!"
"Close enough," Gabby chuckled. Although not close to Annette or Miranda's children, she still made an effort to know their daughters better.
Sean hadn't said a word as he struggled to pick his mouth up. Gabby, being Gabby, had gone all out for the New Year's Eve ball. Choosing her favorite color, she wore a deep purple satin mermaid gown. Ruched and of-the-shoulder, it had a slit from her knees to the floor. Not that Sean noticed the lower section of the dress as his gaze focused on how little it covered her glorious tits.
"Sean, don't drool," Beyza hissed, nudging his arm.
"Oh, I don't mind, sweetie. Seanie can drool all he wants over me," Gabby replied, shocking the teen that she hadn't fucked. "Now, I'm going to have to steal your former boyfriend, if you don't mind. His mother has a few people that she wants him to meet."
"Did you hear that? Your mom has people for you to meet. Oh, I bet it's a girl or two," Beyza teased, nudging his arm again. "Excuse me, I need to freshen my makeup."
Moving behind the wheelchair, Gabriela slowly pushed Sean forward.
"It's wonderful to see you two getting along after the breakup. And that dress!"
"Yeah, I figure her dad isn't coming tonight," Sean finally spoke.
"I knew Ibrahim wasn't coming the moment I saw her mom," Gabby remarked, wheeling him toward the entrance to the ballroom. "He's grown very conservative with how his wife and daughter dress."
If Sean's jaw had dropped upon seeing Gabby's purple gown, then it hurtled to the floor when he spotted Beyza's mother. Annette Baris, neé St. Pierre, backed up her well-earned reputation from her younger days. The wife and mother wore a lacy, white formal dress. While it consisted of long sleeves and a hemline to the floor, it also had to be the sluttiest dress in the ballroom so far in Sean's mind. Much of the lace dress appeared transparent except for the white floral sections. Unlike Gabby's slit that ended at the knees, Annette's slit ascended to her upper thighs. The most outrageous portion of the dress came from the plunging neckline that flaunted her large breasts.
"Annette used to be known for believing that it's better to ask forgiveness later than permission before, but not since Ibrahim changed. Hmm, I wonder if this spells trouble in the Baris household," Gabriela mused.
