Following Helen, a wager she regrets?

The last hour of work had been the longest in Helen's life. Not using the spellbook or any spells for 24 hours had seemed like an impossibly easy task yesterday evening but now it just seemed impossible. Working in a leisure centre, she was surrounded by temptation. There were so many bodies that Helen wanted to try out but couldn't thanks to her stupid wager.

She was currently in the gym and trying her best not to think about what it would be like to inhabit the bodies of the people working out. Helen was currently gazing at a twenty-something tall blonde woman, whose body was immaculate. Helen recognised her as Melanie, a model and social media influencer, who attended the gym regularly. The young model took great care of her body and owned the attention of any room she entered. Helen gazed at Melanie's long legs as they lifted the weights of the leg curl machine. She was entranced by the movements of Melanie's smooth supple limbs. By the model's slight groans of effort as she moved the weights with her legs.

Helen felt her lips begin the move to chant the drone spell so she could leave her body and possess Melanie's. Suddenly becoming aware of what she was doing, she stopped herself and tightened her lips. She could, of course, just lie to Adam. There was no way he'd be able to know if she had possessed someone in the gym briefly or not. But that wouldn't be right. Helen would know she had cheated and she wouldn't be able to look Adam in the eye and say she'd managed it. And then she would have to hand over the spellbook to Adam for a week and help him use its powers.

Helen quickly finished up her task in the gym area and made her way back to the relative safety of the staff room. She went over the day so far to distract her mind. The morning had been fairly easy. Helen was on the early shift again and therefore could get ready without Adam teasing her about how she wouldn't be able to last the day without casting a spell. She had a brief wobble as she walked past the office whilst getting ready. Helen had felt an almost magnetic pull towards the book and had to battle against the temptation of going to it.

The fact that Helen's head-swap with her mother was still in effect definitely helped her to refrain from using magic. Adam had been reasonable enough to not **** her to reverse the spell which Helen guessed was due to her boyfriend rather liking her new body. Her morning routine was therefore made more interesting as she explored her new form some more in the shower. Helen also discovered her work clothes looked rather different on her more curvaceous figure. As the she had got to work and the day progressed, the novelty had rather worn off as the reality of having to plough through a normal working day presented itself.

"Looks like you've already had enough of today!" came an upbeat voice which startled Helen. She looked up to see Kaz, one of the receptionists at the leisure centre and a good friend outside of work. Helen thought of Kaz as a sort of work-aunt. The older woman had been working at the centre for several years before Helen started and had offered support and sage advice on many occasions. Helen knew that she wouldn't be in her current managerial position if it wasn't for Kaz's help.

"You could say that," Helen replied with sigh.

"What's the matter, love?" Kaz said as she sat down across from Helen, placing her modest lunch of salad in front of her.

"It's hard to explain," Helen said realising she could share very little of what was really bothering her. She couldn't risk revealing the existence of her spellbook or say something too vague and look like a lunatic.

"Not trouble with your new home, I hope? Moving into your first house can be tricky."

"No, it's not the house. It's perfect and we're already feeling very settled. It's just... something silly," Helen said weakly.

"Come on," Kaz said with a warm smile, "you know you can tell me anything and I won't judge or tell a soul."
