Gathering Herbs, Poisons & Explosive Mushrooms

At the moment was the young kobold gathering a big collection of Boomshrooms, they were hand sized mushrooms that gathered up natural gases from the ground and very flammable, and explodes like dynamite when the flame burns through the soft spores of the mushroom within five or ten seconds. He had already gathered several other things but the boomshrooms were the most dangerous things to gather, not because of their explosive nature ,they are harmless unless a flame is nearby, no what makes it dangerous to gather them is that they grow only near areas where lots of corpses and gas are located, mostly tombs, mines or graveyard crypts, but in the Blackmarshes there were loads of Boomshrooms in a large old battlefield in the northern sector, but the bad thing of this sector was that there were a great deal of villages, and not to mention plenty of low leveled adventurers who'd love to get their hands on some Kobold Packed XP.

The world was controlled in a state of specific rules, there existed Player Characters, known as adventurers, who fought on long quests to earn glory and gold in the world, Non Player Characters, people who have no desire to go on great adventures or retired adventurers, and Monsters, the beasts the adventurers killed for xp, experience points, a sort of spiritual energy boost that made them stronger after a certain amount was gathered. Even the gods have to follow these rules and those who made them were the Dungeon Masters, those who controlled the universe with their dimensional manipulation powers.

As the kobold crawled past a road to a battlefield he knew had lots of the explosive fungus. Soon he found a big patch, got a natural twenty on his survival roll, and pulled out a small hand shovel and began to dig up boomshrooms into his magical bag, using his dark cloak to keep himself hidden in the dark grass of the marshes.
