The Idea

"Is that what it's like all the time?" Sarah asked, lookup up at the ceiling where the moaning was coming from.

"With Tim?" Nancy asked, "I mean, with me it was. He's amazing."

"No, I mean with men," Sarah said, returning her eyes to one of the other girlfriends of her new lover, an attractive white girl around her age, someone she probably would have been into before Tim told Sarah about her new role. She wondered briefly if he'd be into Sarah and some of the other girlfriends messing around a bit, or if that would be over the line.

"You mean you've never..."

"Not with a man," she said, "Women have been my thing as long as I can remember. I mean," she pointed at her ring finger and laughed, "my wife could probably tell you the same thing."

"So you're just going to stop that and be with a man now?" The white girl asked, obviously confused. Sarah got it. It was a big change for anyone to make, but the way he'd said it, they way his words had permeated her mind, her soul, she just didn't see any way around it. She was Tim's girlfriend, his lover, and his whatever.

"With Tim, not with just any man," Sarah explained, taking a sip of the coffee that had been offered to her. If she was going to make this relationship work, she was going to have to teach Nancy how to brew a proper cup, "Tim's the only one. I'm just not into men. But Tim? I don't know. He's really..."

"Attractive, right?" Nancy said, leaning forward, fully engaged in the subject, "Like, way more attractive than anyone! I can hardly keep my hands off of him!"

"I don't even notice other guys," Sarah continued, "like how attractive they are, I mean. But Tim, after I heard him talk about who I was going to be for him, it all hit me. He's an absolute hottie. For a guy, I mean. Those legs, those breasts, and his make-up is on point! I'm not sure if he, you know, turns me on, but I can't not see it. Does that make sense?"

"That's Tim!" Nancy said, laughing.

"He's quite different from my wife," Sarah continued, "Shorter, flashier, much bigger tits. Plus he's a guy. I'm going to be on a steep learning curve."

The moaning upstairs escalated into screaming. Not horror movie screaming, but porn movie screaming. Alexis had occasionally put on a porn for the pair to watch, for laughs and for foreplay. She had never been into porn before Alexis, but her wife had made it feel dirty and exciting. She frowned.

"I think I'm going to miss Alexis." she said in a small voice.

"Is that your wife?" Nancy dropped her laughter and sounded concerned. She really was kind, someone Sarah could see being friends with.

"Yeah," she said, "We haven't been married long, but I love her, you know?"

"That sucks," Nancy said, "How did you meet?"

Sarah unfolded the story of their meeting at the coffee shop, their wedding, their honeymoon. Alexis had been such a big part of Sarah's life, of her future. Deep down she knew that Tim could fill the holes that Alexis was leaving in her heart, but it would take time. A long time. She was special to her, she had believed in her when nobody else did.

A single tear rolled down her cheek.

"Is she beautiful?" Nancy asked.

Sarah's eyebrows went up at the question.

"I mean, like, do you think that Tim would like her?" Nancy continued.

Flopping back into her chair, it all came together for Sarah. Of course! She wanted to be with Tim, but she was okay with him being with other women too! Why hadn't she thought of that before?

"He would love her," Sarah confirmed, "She is amazing. Do you really think he might do that? For me?"

"I don't know," Nancy said, "He's the boss, but we can ask, can't we?"

"Of course we can," Sarah said, a grin forming on her lips, "And I'll even make it worth his while."
