Gertrude wakes up Cynthia

Gertrude smiled as she was up bright and early ready for the day to begin. She made her way to Cynthia’s room where she was still asleep. Gertrude smirked as she gazed at her as she had her pacifier still in her mouth as she cradled the stuffed purple bear. “CeCe,” Gertrude sang. “Wakey Wakey, CeCe. I have a nice surprise for you.”

Cynthia’s eyes fluttered open as she regained her bearings. Her eyes landed on Gertrude who had the biggest smile on her face. She turned her head to the clock. It read 7:20 AM. She groaned, and quickly remembered the pacifier in her mouth. She looked up at Gertrude with beady eyes. Gertrude had the biggest smile on her face. “Gertwude?” Cynthia said, puzzled as to why she was there.

“Did you have a wittle accident, CeCe?” Gertrude said as she patted the diaper. “I have a surprise for you. Do you recognize this?”

Gertrude held up the punishment book and Cynthia’s eyes bulged with terror. She began shaking her head rapidly. There was only one other time she had to go through the punishment book, but that was when it was a lot smaller and had way less rules and pages. Now it looked like a dictionary with the endless pages of rules and punishments including descriptions of each punishment.

“Pwease,” Cynthia whimpered. “Don’t.”

“We’re going to have so much fun,” Gertrude said. “In fact, we’re going to go out today. I’m in charge of you and you’re in for a treat.”

Gertrude lifted Cynthia out of the crib and plopped her onto a ready to go stroller, buckling it. Cynthia squirmed as she was in just a diaper. She didn’t even have a top on as Gertrude carried the stroller down the stairs and out the door not even waiting for Cynthia to begin protesting.

Cynthia was plopped into the car seat and buckled in as Gertrude climbed into the driver’s seat and looked at the time. 7:30 AM. Gertrude smiled. She would arrive just in time.
