Setting up to leave

You finish eating quickly and once you are sure that you have everything you need you ask " So everyone got what they need? Also Max do you still got the knife and gun from yesterday?" He shrugs, as Ruth gets up to go into the other room when she comes back in. You look at him a second and then add " Keep them with you at all times, I know the shotguns near the doors are easy access but we should keep the others on us just in case. Also I got something else for you." You go into the back room and grab the last of the bullet proof vests. You smile and say " You get to keep this vest til either, we have the military show up and they protect and defend you at which case I am sure your ok with giving it up. Other then that we all have one, and because your pretty good size already it is mostly going to fit you pretty well."

Max nods in agreement and smiles as Ruth hands him his handgun and holster as well the clip of bullets, he puts the clip in his pocket and puts the gun holster on his belt along with the knife. He nods to you and adds " I am ready I guess, it is not far from here." he pulls out the keys, he has and hands them to you. He then adds " The key for the door is the one with the dark blue loop around the outside, I am sure the other keys are mostly for a vehicle or any number of other things. I did not bother to check it thou, I mean the vehicle that was near by the back of the shop."

You just shrug and add " We got something, that is quite capable of protecting us on the move and we got fuel to pretty much move and do whatever we need. Problem is it happens to be very loud if it is not moving slowly, and in a world where sound carries this vehicle is only good once the military gets here and we insist they let us keep it."

Max shrugs and you say " Its a Armored Hummer, you see Ruth and Tracy had a family member who was a bit crazy he is the one who left us most of the food and weapons and useful books. We also found a great number of items that would make a person who likes weapons piss themselves." You pull a few grenades from the crate and look at them, you then look at everyone and notice they don't have their bullet proof vests on, and realize you for yours as well.

You then add " Please be sure to wear the bullet proof vests and something over it, even if it is a green combat vest. So you can put clips and grenades and other things on it. In fact I, I will put my smiley face sticker and name tag on a combat vest before I put it on the bullet proof vest just to prevent others from knowing we have them on." You look at a stack of surplus clothing and pull out a combat vest as well as finding your bullet proof vest and put it on as well. You watch as the girls do the same, you also note that thank good you got good movement with these things on. Thou the vests over the bullet proof vests make you think of the Vietnam war and you half suspect the green combat vests had once been bullet proof vests that had the armor removed. But you can't be entirely sure, then again you know the modern vest is made up of lighter materials then the originals. So using the combat vests to help carry useful items without the armor still makes a lot of sense on the whole.

Max just smirks and says " I have not been outside this room or the one I sleep in so I don't know what you guys have." with a knowing smile but your sure he is just being honest.

Tracy nods to you after getting her mothers gun and checking this and that, and making sure she had her hand guns and so on. Grace also prepares to leave with you, and once everyone is armored and suited up more or less. You find a small case you saw the day before that had sunglasses in it, you figured that Frank all thou strange at least knew he might need eye wear for different reasons. During the day the sunglasses can make it easier to see people. Since the glare can cut down on issues, so you put on a pair of yellowish orange filter glasses and nod and smile as you make sure it fits your head properly. The girls notice your new glasses and check the case themselves each pulling out a pair, Max does as well. You smile and realize the bunch of you look like a combat group minus the kid, you check the vests front pockets and find it would be a good place to put a few grenades. You look at one of them read the box and it says 5 second timer from release. You smile and realize Frank also had caution at least instead of getting 3 or 4 second grenades. You check the pins and notice they are pretty tight and stuff a few into the pockets on the front of your vest the girls follow and so does Max.

You then suggest " Can everyone please grab a backpack, I am sure we got enough for all of us. You never know what we might come across and need to carry it, we might find food or ammo god only knows honestly and if we can take as much as possible that is a good thing." They all nod and put a backpack over there backs.

You then say " Alright that is sorted, the one items to be removed from your person for the most part are the grenades on return, other wise the gun is to remain at your side. You will notice Max the only gun not at my side at the moment that I am using is the Tommy Gun, I should go get it." You stand up and go into the other room and get the ammo pouch and put it on. And sling your gun over your shoulder, and come out and say " I am ready to go now as well."

Max looks at you and smirks as he realizes you got the strongest gun in the group for light or heavy combat, you make sure the ammo pouch is closed and you can access it easy. You make sure your gun is on semi automatic and put the safety on, you check your hand guns on your sides and ensure they have the safety off you figure if your going to start to defend yourself you will start with the hand guns. You feel around the ammo pouch and realize you should move the handgun clips to your vest as well as the two 30 round clips for the Tommy Gun, leaving only the drums in the pouch. The others are looking at you as you do this and you just nod, they two check their pouches and their guns. Doing pretty much the same you just did, all but max and Tommie and Ruth. But both of them still have their own guns near them.

Grace takes one of the smaller **** weapons with a silencer and puts the clips in their place, and then you consider for moment Max and his size. And smirk and hand him, what as best as you would describe the most silent weapon you all have. And chances are it has one of the most accurate and most affective ranges of them all even in short range. You hand him a Cross bow along with what expect is 30 arrow drum it could be more, and he slings it over his back you then say " That is yours, you keep it like we have ares. Because of your size your primary weapon til you get a bit older should be that cross bow. The arrows can be recovered if we really need to, but you will notice we have more drums. But because of the weight of the drums we will not have you carry them, we will however have you put a bag on your back to put the arrows in once we recover them if need be. Depending on how cross the dispatched target is and how messed up the arrow is for health reasons we will not recover every arrow, the plague could very well be blood related still. This means that all thou the girls have increased hornyness from the affects, direct contacted with infected blood from a crazy is not good for any of us."

Max slings the cross bow around and pushes a button on the size and the sides of the cross from the bow pop out and are ready. It as best as you can figure its safety feature, and says " I guess this will work, it does not have the weight or the sound. Which as you said before could be of use."

You nod and say " It is a nice item, if I did not take the Tommy Gun I might have been interested in that." You think for a second and then say " All primary weapons should be up and on the shoulder as we move, from this day forward. If you would prefer to have your pistol up to help lay down simple cover fire before we shift to one side or the other and draw the primary weapons this is fine as well. I know from the contacted we have had so far that not all of the people we have come in contacted with have guns, I believe the group I rescued Grace from only had two. Thou I could not be sure, and there is a possibility that some groups have only one or less. And because there is going to be limits on ammo that is also a possibility as to why. We are going to get three beds not two, besides that. Keep an eye out for a clothing store or other useful things you think we should check and try to loot alright?"

All three nod but then Max says " I know what buildings you need already, I also know a few others we should get into. And that ring of keys in fact will allow it. You see, my mother had already been collecting keys from the dead and ensuring I knew where they went to. Some had been for this or that, I only added a couple to it. But most of the places I got keys for are the kinds of warehouses or buildings that without a key it's secure so long as someone does not drive a truck into the side of the building. And the kinds of things found within very, Plus since I normally looked around these places in the dark it is hard to know what honestly is held with in them." You just nod as you lead them out the door.

Ruth before you leave adds " You might even be shocked how many people fell dead just outside the places they worked or had been killed in the panic or rush on the whole with the sickness as the crazy started to attack people. I mean it's strange really even from what I have watched some people turned mad almost instantly and others took time. The only ones not as affected on the whole from what I could tell from what I had witnessed was the women. Most of them just seemed to be normal, it was the guys in some cases who ended up with the open sores. The news covered things pretty well for a while, my husband for instance took days to turn as soon as he started to get the sores he was still fine but sooner or later he had to be put down. I am unsure if the sores are a immune response or another sickness all together related to the other. Or if some how it helps ensure that the sickness spreads we might want to look for some kind of body suits to help protect us from others a bit so we don't have skin to skin contacted with any of them. I know in the case of Tommie that can't be helped but she is fine, her last exposed to it was many days ago, and Grace had some skin to skin contacted as well but from what I heard from both of them. The people Grace was attacked by had been dirty not so much sickly as filthy."

You nod again realizing this is good to know, and it makes it easier to understand how so many employees may have had keys on them and died outside of the place they worked. Ruth returns to the inside of the building, and then adds " I will expect you all back here by the next meal. I will prepare it as I watch the video feed, if you guys can pick up another TV so we can have one for news and one for the camera's that would be a good idea." Once again you just nod as you add one more thing to the check list of things you need to grab.

Once you are down by the gate you just state, " One task at a time one purpose at a time, since we don't want to draw attention it is best to do it this way. Please note if you see someone who is unable to form complete statements or suggest you don't kill them, when you aim a gun at them shot first ask questions later. We will not be in the business of dying for no reason, but we will be in the business of killing to survive. Max, if we come across anyone you know to be none hostile we will ignore them and simply ask them to leave us alone. Thou based on what you have said Max, this area is pretty empty so anyone within during the day time is to be considered hostile." Max again nods and starts to lead the three of you off to the mattress store.
