Yes nervously

Lorenzo opens the packet taking on of the cigarettes out. His hands were shaking and the man seemed to notice. The man looks at Lorenzo and says, "Hey little lady, no need to be nervous, I'm not going to do anything other then smoke." Lorenzo unsure on what to do places the filter into his mouth. He lifeted the lighter up and began to light the cigarette.

How could he be doing this? He hated his mum for smoking. He would often wake up and hear her coughing or struggling for breath. This isn't somthing he wanted to do but he was scared of this hulking man stood next to him. The flames had done their job. The cigarette was lit. The wrinkled toxic stick let off a slow creeping stench. Within moments its chemicals invaded everything , the cigarette smoke was in his mouth and and he knew what to do next to keep up this charade. He inhaled. The coughing came thick and fast and suprised Lorenzo. He had never seen his mum cough just from inhaling. The towering man Laughed letting out a bellow of smoke as he did. He looked at Lorenzo and said, "Still new to this huh? Don't worry it gets easier and a whole lot more enjoyable, you'll see!"

Lorenzo stood there with this man holding the cigarette between his index and middle finger just like his mother. Towards the end of the cigarette Lorenzo noticed the coughing had stopped and he was starting to feel light headed. he finihsed his cigarette and dropped it to the floor. He apologised to the man and said Sorry I've got to run otherwise I'm going to be late for school". The man replied with " no worries little lady. Thank you for the cigarette. Keep the lighter as a token of my gratitude." Lorenzo didn't need this lighter he didn't want to smoke but to scared to say no he acquiesced and said thank you. As Lorenzo began to walk away the man shouted out "Also sorry for thinking you were a boy. Maybe wear a skirt if you don't want people to get confused!" Lorenzo blushed in embarssment as he walked away. " how could he mistake me for a girl" he thought!

Lorenzo approached the gates to his school.
