Annie & Jade

Annie figured that someone should stay behind to talk to Jade, so she did just that. Lucille also stayed behind for a bit before heading towards the hallway.

"She's probably going to help the boys. Anyways, I know that you really wanted to watch these movies with us, but the television will be back soon."

"Annie, that's honestly the least of my problems."

"What?"

"This doesn't leave this room, got it?"

Annie nods in agreement. Jade sighs and continues.

"I hate to admit it, but what Lucas said really got to me. I can't do anything without shit like that happening. Every day it's the same thing. Short this, short that, short, short, short. I'm short and flat. I can't do anything without someone thinking I'm 14 when I'm fucking 25. I try my hardest to make myself known, but since you guys are the only people that respect me, I guess that tells you how good I am at that."

Annie needed a minute to process all of that. She knew that Jade had issues with how people treated her, but to hear all of it at face value was different.

"So that's why you flipped out as hard as you did."

"Yeah. I only get to spend time with you guys."

"I get it. I'm also trying to break away from something. I hate being a plain Jane. I don't exactly stand out in a crowd either, and because of that, it's hard to make friends."

"I understand that, but at least you don't have it this bad. You're still someone that can be called beautiful."

"I'm not beautiful. I'm ordinary, and I fucking hate it. I wasn't born just to be a background character."

"Annie."

"At least there are people that will love you because you're cute. Nobody wants to be regular, especially since people ignore you."

"Well, if you're regular, then I'd love to be that."

"You should want to be better than me."

Suddenly, the two girls heard Lucas screaming.

"Are you fucking serious? Roxanne!"

"Icaru, what's going on?" asked Annie.

"Roxanne and Lucille were kissing in the bathroom."

"Why are you two so damn horny?" asked Lucas.

"I'm not horny. Roxanne just kissed me out of nowhere and, well, things happened."

"Yeah, you're not horny."

"Anyway, we got the games as we said. What do you say? Care for game night?"
