Chapter 12 by realizingworlds realizingworlds

What happens now?

Head back to your territory

With the deed finished, it's time for you all to return to Bloodrose territory. The two of you come back downstairs to find Khayone waiting at the door with Francis nowhere in sight. You blush a deep red, finding it embarrassing that your pack leader can clearly tell what just happened. It feels wrong, like how you imagine you would have felt if either of your fathers had caught you in the act. He shows no reaction to your little tumble with your new husband though, motioning you to follow him to the car. He's clearly ready to get back to safer lands and you don't blame him for a moment. Francis has been known to become a bit... Irrational at times if he feels disrespected or threatened. Best to not overstay your welcome.

The drive back is mostly silent, despite how hard you try to engage your husband in conversation. You don't know if he's just being an ass or **** to avoid talking in front of your pack leader. He's definitely not making the best first impression though, going off of the odd look on Khayone's face. Hopefully he just needs some time to warm up. You saw a glimpse behind his mask earlier, you hope to completely shatter the damn thing with time and hard work. If not... Well, you had gone into this knowing it could be loveless. At least the sex would be decent.

The forest fades away and the city finally comes back into view. You relax as the familiar sounds wash over you, a symphony of chaos you love dearly. Luke is clearly caught off guard and is out of his element. Growing up in the forests of the wolves didn't prepare him for this. "Relax." you say softly, glancing at his tense form, "It's alright. I know it's a little overwhelming, but I know you can grow to love it. And we'll be back into the forests by next week for the moon."

He doesn't look like he believes you, but at least he seems a little less likely to jump out the car window. It's going to be a difficult transition for both of you. So much can go wrong... But, if you play your cards right, so much more can get better. You decide to focus on the positives rather than the negatives and work towards a better tomorrow. Right now, a better world depends on you getting knocked up before the new year.

What happens once your back home?
