First Exam

The next morning Temari and her team entered the building where the first exam would be held and in the waiting room she set up a wide area variant of her genjutsu that instead of directly influencing the mind of one subject it influenced the instincts that governed trust. Anyone caught in the sphere of this genjutsu would want to relax around and trust the caster but of course it was easier to break out of than the single target version. Not that many of the arriving genin ever realized that they were under the influence of a genjutsu as the light winds swirl around the ceiling. In fact by the time Naruto and his team slipped past the test one floor below at least 9 teams were waiting for them along with the one from Suna including single teams from Sound, Ame, Waterfall, and Kusa.

Naruto himself got caught by the genjutsu immidiately after entering the room, his mind not only had no resistance but also it was conditioned to obey Temari deep down. His eyes were drawn to Temari as he spotted her in a corner of the room leaning on her fan and seemingly having a soft conversation with someone he recognized as Kiba Inuzuka along with one girl wearing a Kusa headband and someone he did not recognize wearing a Konoha headband. As he wandered closer to Temari Naruto desired nothing more than to hug his mistress and friend but he also saw that she was busy with work as he noticed that all three of the ninja with her had dazed expressions that he took to be what anyone subjected to her mind control jutsu looked like while being programmed. It took a few minutes of impatient waiting but he was able to approach Temari after she sent away the three who now had determined expressions that said they were on a mission as they went back to their separate teams. He greeted his mistress and friend with a bright smile and a hello along with a hand wave. Temari herself giggled at her ****'s awkward greeting and turned to Sakura and Sasuke who had followed behind Naruto, asking "are these two your teammates Naruto?" He brightened and introduced them as Sakura-chan and Sasuke Uchiha while Sakura eyed her suspiciously as a possible rival for Sasuke and Sasuke just let out a disinterested grunt after looking Temari over and recognizing her strength.

After the greetings Temari couched a suggestion for her **** as a joke with "you know Naruto you don't look all that skilled maybe you should just make an effort before giving up on becoming Chunin." Naruto retorted with a level of vehemence that surprised Temari but not Sakura or Sasuke as he shouted "I am never going to give up until I become Hokage believe it!" Temari had a small frown on her face as she studied the shorter Naruto before her, planning on removing or supressing that desire since a ninja loyal to Suna could not become Hokage.

Over the time before the exams started Temari had not noticed a green haired young woman with a Waterfall headband studying her with a gleam in her eyes that denoted an almost unhealthy interest in her. Temari then had one last message for Naruto which she delivered via a traditional genjutsu that left the words "I will meet you again soon to reinforce the kyuubi's trance. Make sure that you and your team are alone ****." Soon enough however the proctors for the first exam appeared in the room forcing Temari to shut down her genjutsu lest it be sensed by the higher level ninja as they all filed into the exam hall.
