Sunset

As the sun was setting I finally arrived at my apartment complex and put the code in at the gate to get into the hallway that led up to my apartment. I finally made my way towards the door and reached for my keys to open.

I opened the door and was pleasantly greeted by my girlfriend standing behind the kitchen counter, cutting up some tomatos in preparation for the salad she was making tonight.

"Oh Jacob i've been so lonely here without you," she said somewhat sarcastically but with a subtle flirty tone.

"I would be too, after all, I am quite charming," I said with my in my best Austin Powers impression.

"And quite devilishly handsome too," she said with a smirk, trying to mimic me. "Say, what is that you are hiding behind your back?" She curiously asked.

"Just a couple of flowers I found in a ditch somewhere," I said as I unveiled the bundle to her. "I my gosh baby you didn't have to!" She exclaimed, with a large amount of gratitude in her voice. She quickly dropped her knife and jumped on me, as I caught her in my arms. She gave me a wet kiss on the cheek and looked me in the eyes, "you not only go out of your way to buy me flowers, but you make sure that they're my favorite white roses? How did I manage to hit the jackbot with you?" She said with a beautiful smile.

"It takes a lot of money and effort to maintain my charm~" I said with my stupid Austin Powers voice. She quickly hopped off and grabbed her flowers out of my hand, " took it too far, not amused," she said while she put her flowers in her favorite vase.

"Rose, Mi amor! Lo siento!" I exclaimed in my best mexican accent.

She rolled her eyes and continued to chop but with a small smirk on her face.

"You smell," she said.

"Always our to embarass me huh, ok then, ill be in the shower, hollar if you need me."
