Get Up and go to Work

You get up off the bed and you feel really dizzy, something is off. You don't have time to look into it though because looking at the time, you're about to be late to work. Quickly you jump into action, putting on your clothes on and stuffing your laptop into your backpack. "_Fuck Fiona is going to kill me", _you think.

Looking in the mirror by the door, you look a little bedraggled and a little too business casual but it'll work. You sling your backpack over your shoulder and rush out the door. Now out the door you run like a madman down the streets to your office.

Unfortunately you happen to arrive late to the office. Now with the walk of shame you have to meet Fiona. You've only been her assistant for a year and were already on thin ice with her. While you can say she has been one of the more relaxed bosses you've had she definitely has been quite the hardass. And recently with her wedding and her executive position in the company she has definitely become more of a hardass. And with fear of being chewed out, you knock on her door with existential dread.

"Come in," you hear and with a deep breath you enter. "There's my boy," she says cheerfully, catching you completely off guard. Does she not care? You meagerly say, "Yeah, sorry for being a litt---," before she cuts you off and says, "more than a little, John, you were twenty minutes late. But I have a meeting and we'll talk about your "punishment" later." And then she leaves. How did she take command like that and did she appear taller? Not to mention your "punishment." What does that mean? Something is definitely off but, at least you weren't fired. Best get to work and try to impress Fiona.
