Meeting

You all make your way to a big room where several people are already there. As you enter the room, you already feel that basically everyone's eyes are on you. You try to straighten your back as you walk towards some empty chairs behind Jenny. There is a table with three chairs in the middle and another table to its right. They are the only tables in the room and are positioned so people can talk to everyone in the room. The room is full of chairs, and you can see the older people sitting to the right of the central table while the younger ones sit to the left.

"Why are people segregated like this?" you whisper.

"Like what?"

"Like the old there and the younger ones here..."

"Oh," she looks around "You can sit wherever you want, but who wants to stay near their elders to be told to be quiet and behave nicely all the time?"

"So what now?"

"We wait for people to come, and then we discuss news. Having new members is not something that happens frequently, so you'll be introduced to everyone." Jenny explains patiently.

"Do I have to give a speech or something?"

"They'll probably ask you some questions, so it's better to stand up when you speak."

"Shit"

"You will be fine, big boy," adds Mia "Since it's your girlfriend that transformed you, and you guys are still a couple, there will probably be no punishment."

"Punishment? Who?"

"Who else? You don't get to bite people against their will and change people's lives without any consequences."

You turn towards Jenny. "Will you be all right? I'll tell them I asked you to transform me..."

"Don't! I've already told them what happened. It will be fine. As Mia said, You already forgave me, so it won't be anything serious."

"Ok..."

People continue to come in. Most of them are curious about you, but the young ones were present on the day you first transformed and still remember that you took them all out alone, so even if they give their greetings, they avoid sitting next to you. Close to the start of the meeting, Mark and Nicole arrive.

"Shit!" exclaims Mark when he sees that the only two chairs still empty are the ones in front of you.

"Stop acting like that; he beat up everyone, not just you!" Nicole says annoyed and makes her way towards your seats, as Mark follows behind her reluctantly.

"What do you know? You are not the one who almost got killed!"

"Ugh... you are fine; why do you have to be such a baby? It's your fault weird things keep happening."

"What weird things?"

Nicole ignores him. "Hey guys!"

Jenny stares at her. "You're ok now?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, sorry."

"Huh? You were sick?" asks Mark surprised. "Why didn't you tell me?"

" I'm fine, shh... it's going to start, stop making so much noise!"
