Text a teammate

Sitting naked out on the deck, waiting for the sun to dry her off, Ruby's mind wandered to her partner and teammate, Weiss Schnee. Even though Weiss had been rather conservative and closed-minded when she arrived at Beacon Academy, her first year had certainly loosened her up. She and Ruby even began texting each other about non-school related things towards the end of the year.

I bet she'll have something good going on, Ruby thought, tapping out a quick message to the heiress.

R: Hey! Wyd right now?

Ruby then sat her phone off to the side and waited for a response. Now that she had sent the message, though, Ruby began to wonder how time differences worked in regards to Atlas, with it being at the top of the globe. As she was worrying about waking Weiss up, Ruby heard her scroll buzz, telling her she had gotten a response.

W: I'm wondering if it's worth it to brave the open tundra of Mantle rather than put on a fake smile for these people one more time. What about you?

By now, Weiss had developed some sense of sarcasm. It took some time, but Ruby was eventually able to get her to use it once in a while.

R: Well, if you did that, you could probably come visit me! I'm stuck doing chores while Yang and my dad are in town.

W: Is it bad to say I'd rather be doing that than be here right now?

R: :O You? Doing chores?

W: You think I couldn't do chores?

R: Oh, I think you could. I just don't think you ever would :P

W: Fuck you lol

R: <3

W: Seriously, though. How is it going down there?

R: Oh, it's ok. Like I said, Yang and Dad are in town, so I've got the house to myself right now.

W: And you're spending your time doing chores?

R: Hey! If I don't, my dad will take away my games for a week!

W: Hm. I guess that's fair. Still, I'm disappointed in you, Ms Rose. I thought you'd be spending your break doing something more interesting.

Ruby frowned at the response. Should she tell Weiss about what she's really doing right now? She'd been hoping to hide it from her family, but...Weiss was her friend! She could keep a secret. Right?

Ruby's fingers shook with anticipation as she typed out her response, hesitating for a moment before hitting send.

R: Well...I'm also naked on my porch. Does that count as interesting?

Weiss's response was rather quick.

W: Oh, it certainly would. If you were actually doing it.

Ruby shook her head. The smart part of her said to let it go. There was nothing to be gained from proving this to Weiss. But her impulsive side shouted much louder. It's what made her get naked in the first place, after all. And things had been going pretty well. Why ignore it now?

Standing up, Ruby turned to face the house and held up her scroll, changing it to the front-facing camera. The shot clearly showed the whole backyard sprawling out behind her. Anyone who saw this would have no doubt in their mind.

Hesitating a bit more, Ruby eventually took the picture and attached it to a message. She did her best to show as much of her body as possible, but was only able to get just below her waist. Hopefully, the lack of any waistband would be enough for her friend.
