Heading downtown to a sister location

Mackenzie closed the employee entrance to the Energy 'n' Fuel Cafe behind her, shivering wildly. She'd braved the cold November trek in just a t-shirt and sweatpants, but she hadn't encountered any actual clothing problems on the way. That was enough of a win in her eyes. Before she could even seek him out, Mackenzie noticed her manager approaching her. She mentally prepared herself for a reaming.

"Cold one out there today, eh Mackenzie?" he asked jovially instead. Before she could answer, he continued, "Hey I've got a special assignment today for you, if you're interested. Might keep you a bit more away from the, uh, prying eyes, though."

Mackenzie followed the man's directed gaze and noticed that there was already an enormous crowd of people assembled on the customer side of the encounter. Apparently, her adoring fans had pieces together the final day of her work schedule. Mackenzie gulped, hands involuntarily moving to grip her shirt and pants, as if they could disappear from her body at a moment's notice.

"If you'd like," Ben said, "I'm headed over to our sister location at the satellite campus. I need to fill in for the manager for a few hours and they're a bit short staffed today. They could really use an extra hand. Interested?"

Mackenzie nodded almost immediately. She just couldn't being herself to stand in front of that crowd again, all waiting for her to expose herself. She felt... No, she knew what would happen if she stayed there. She'd wind up naked and humiliated, with nothing wearable left to her name.

"A change of scenery sounds great," she said, earnestly.

"Perfect! We can take my car there," Ben said. And just a couple minutes later the two of them were in Ben's beat up four-door sedan, heading downtown.

The college had a small "satellite campus" located downtown. It was essentially one large building with numerous smaller classrooms and facilities inside, including its very own E'n'F Cafe! Mackenzie had never taken a class there personally, but heard it was a very nice place. It was relatively new and typically used for smaller, higher level classes.

After they had gotten on the road, a bit of an awkward silence ensued. Mackenzie wasn't sure how long of a drive they were in for, or how exactly her boss was feeling about her recent undressed antics. So, she glanced to her left and tried to strike up conversation as Ben drove.

"Hey Ben... About Wednesday, um-"

"Look, Mackenzie," he said, a bit more sternly than usual. "I knew full well who you were when I hired you."

"You... you did?!"

"Mhm. And I figured it wasn't unreasonable to expect a certain amount of... Well, to be frank, a certain amount of indecency on your part while you were on the job."

"Ben, it's not like I'm TRYING to-"

"It's okay, let me finish," he insisted. "I believe in giving everyone a fair shot. So if you want to be a little bit naked during your shift? I say go for it."

"No! I really don't wa-"

"But in this first week alone, you've been taking overly long breaks and leaving before your shift's over! And that's just inexcusable, Mackenzie."

"I... Oh," she said, genuinely a bit surprised that was the greivance Ben had with her.

"That's part of why I asked you to come along today. We'll both work at the satellite cafe until your shift's over at 4. Then we'll both ride back together. Doesn't matter to me if you wind up working counter stark naked. No ducking out early, or else there will be ramifications. Got it?"

"Got it," Mackenzie nervously replied.

"Great!" Ben said as he pulled into a parking lot next to a large glass building in the heart of downtown. "I'd hate to have to fire you before you even finish your first week!"

As Mackenzie stepped out of the car, she suddenly felt very nervous. She couldn't afford to lose any of the clothes on her back, true. But she also couldn't afford to lose this job! She desperately hoped it wouldn't come to a point where she had to choose between one or the other...
