knock on the door

you hear a knock on the door. You open the door to find Ethan. he says there is still time to watch the movie.

You reflect on the events of last night. You had so much fun watching the movie with him and even more fun sucking his cock and then when he sucked your dick in return. You grab your DVD of The King in Yellow and head down to the foyer where Ethan is waiting for you.

As you settle down to the movie, you reflect that you've always been surprised that even horror buffs aren't usually very familiar with The King in Yellow. It's an old film, made in black and white in the 1940s, but for your money, it's the most frightening horror film ever made. You found it in a bargain bin at a local retailer and you've seen it a number of times. You're nearly positive there's a missing scene somewhere in the second half of the film. You've always wondered what happened to it.

The first part of the film is a bit ordinary, but it still does much to create the right mood. You're pleased to see that Ethan has the proper reaction to Cassilda's haunting song about Carcosa. You snuggle into Ethan's arms and when the Stranger says, "I wear no mask," he holds onto you tightly just as you were hoping he would. During the much more frightening second half of the movie, he keeps holding you all the way through. You're pretty sure he's a bit frightened by the film himself which both gratifies and surprises you. On the one hand, you yourself were scared witless by the film the first time you saw it. On the other, Ethan has always seemed cool and confident to you.

As soon as "The End" appears on the screen, you and Ethan babble excitedly to each other about the King and the Pallid Mask and Hastur and Cassilda and all of that. When you've finished, Ethan asks, "So how about another film?"

"Sure," you say, trying to think of something suitable. "Do you have Whore's Grudge?"

"Of course I do," Ethan says. He puts the film on and you both enjoy the film for a bit, laughing at its campiness and the inartful sex scenes. Finally, Ethan leans in for a kiss as you were expecting him to do.
