Take it back to your room

You return to your room still dumbstruck over what you had just seen. You want to find out why your mother has suddenly decided that she wants to be her eldest daughter. Well, you can guess why, but the fact that she has just done so is highly confusing. You've never pegged your mother as the sort of person who would be perfectly fine with turning her eldest child into a lifeless skin, donning said skin, and assuming her identity. And yet, part of you is curious about feeling it work for yourself. You wonder whether or not you should use the pen yourself for fun or perhaps use it to follow your mother to wherever she's off to.
