Still no change

You awaken to Jenny mumbling while checking the camera.

You don't remember anything, so it probably didn't work. "Still no change?"

"I didn't change either... We should go and check with Mia..."

"I feel fine, I'm sure there's nothing to worry about."

You both get dressed and go upstairs to find her dad already making breakfast.

"You guys were awfully quiet!"

"It happened again. We'll check with Mia after school and see what is wrong." Jenny assures him.

"You should tell your wolf not to bite weird things, you never know where it was before," you joke, trying to make the stiff atmosphere go away.

Jenny grins. " I'm sure she knows better than me. After all, I'm keeping the stray that she brought home."

"Ouch!"

"Sit down and have something to eat, you have enough time before school starts!" Her dad says this as he puts two plates full of breakfast on the table. "Don't let it get cold!"

You eat together, and she goes to change and get ready for school. Then she drives you to your place to get ready, and then you spend the morning at school. You don't have Spanish classes, so you avoid meeting Ms. Rodriguez, you don't even know what to say if she recognises you. You don't see Bandon and his gang either, so the day passed peacefully.

After class, you spend some time in the library searching for more information while you wait for Jenny to finish her activities. When you're done, you make your way towards the girl's sports building to wait outside for Jenny. Playing with your phone, you smell Jenny and lift your head, to see that you made a mistake. There's a thin, athletic, light-skinned black girl with short curly hair walking with her nose in her phone. She somehow sensed you looking at her, turns towards you, and freezes. You can smell the wolf in her, and Jenny on her, so your curiosity has been peaked. "Hey, got a moment?"

"Sure..." she walks reluctantly towards you.

Once she gets closer, you smell the air again involuntarily, and you confirm that it really is Jenny that you smell. "That's so weird," you study her. She lowers her head, not daring to look you in the eyes, and not moving an inch. Her behaviour is weird and soon attracts a crowd of girls. Not wanting to make a scene, you grab her hand and start moving away from the crowd, to a more secluded place. She follows silently behind you, as you hear whispers in the background. "OMG, did you see that?", "Isn't he Jenny's boyfriend?" "When did he become so domineering?" "Did you see his muscles?" " Turns out the rumours were true..." " I wish he would take me like that too..."

"Great, more rumours" you groan.

"Sorry," the girl whispers.

Once you reach a secluded place, you turn towards her. "What's your deal? are you part of Jenny's pack?

"Uhm.." she nods

"Why do you smell like my girlfriend?"

"I-I borrowed a towel since mine fell in the shower and got wet ..."

"Oh!" You don't even know why you reacted that way and brought a girl here. The atmosphere quickly turns awkward. Your nose is flooded with smells from her, and you can feel her fear slowly getting masked by something else. The more you look at her, the more fear is replaced with this new sensation.
