Luck Finds You

You returned to a sitting position having too hard of a time keeping yourself up. You were still disoriented but had a feeling that you wouldn’t pass out. Mulling over your next actions took no more than a minute. You could swear you heard water. Not just any kinda water you heard flowing water.

You pull yourself up using some close branches again. You feel like you have slightly better balance this time around but could feel yourself still stumbling. Trudging along putting your sole focus into listening to this water you follow it until you come across it. A running river that seemed to run north to south based on the positioning of the sun.

Suddenly you are startled by some rustling in the forest behind you. Is this where you would die? Some wild animal gonna come and eat you for a snack. As these thoughts were crossing your mind suddenly an arrow shot right by you narrowly missing your head and lodging into a tree on the other side of the river. Remembering the letter in a panic you yell out “COME OUT OF THE FOREST RIGHT NOW!” You were still panicking as slowly a lithe girl stepped out with a dark tone to her skin and sharp pointed ears.

As you looked over her she lifted her bow arrow at the ready. You hadn’t planned for that and fully expected to die at the hand of this beautiful creature. But, suddenly a rock gives out under her causing her to stumble releasing the arrow launching it and sending it into another tree.

“Listen just drop the fucking bow already!” You yell once again and subsequently she dropped it right on the floor. You noticed some rope hanging from her belt that looked pretty sturdy. “Now tie your hands up in the rope tightly” she grimaced as she did what you asked.

She looked at you with a devilish grin and an anger in her eyes. “Just because I drop my bow and tie myself up doesn’t mean you win. I planned this from the start now I have you where I want you filthy human.”
