Hold off for now

Authors note: Heads up! This is a thread made by a different author than the original story. That means that my thread may not entirely match up with his in terms of details, timelines, or app capabilities. Just wanted to say that to hopefully avoid confusion.

Thumb hovering over my phone, suddenly I stopped. I didn't NEED to pick a perk this instant, right? There was nothing saying there was a time limit on the selection tab. With that in mind, I closed out of the app for now. I wanted to reassess the situation, and if I needed one of those perks later on, I could always go back and choose it.

After I closed the app, I did something that probably no one else in my situation would do. I went back to class. I know, I know, I just found out I can buy people off of my phone, and I want to go listen to my teachers lecture about stuff I'll never use? Well yeah, kinda. Here's the thing. I realized that I've been been kind of running around with out a plan the last day or so. The last 24 hours basically consisted of me banging my mom and fucking with the app, that wasn't very productive. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not suddenly having a change of heart, I'm going to **** this thing to high hell, but I wanted to approach it from a more strategic standpoint.

Going to class will allow me to relax a bit, and think my actions through. Obviously I won't be taking notes or paying attention, but having the crowd of classmates around me to stop me from being rash will hopefully ground me in reality for a moment so I can be smart about things.

With that in my mind, I went to my third period of the day. I had missed the first two periods while I was busy acting like a maniac. Luckily, I didn't have too many friends, so I didn't have to spend much time explaining my absence to them. And for the ones that were curious, I simply brushed them off with a 'I overslept this morning' generic answer.

By the time it got to the final period of the day, I had figured out my plan. Checking the app again to double check that I was right, I filtered the search function by [Men] and was able to confirm my suspicions.

Just as I noticed earlier, with the exception of a few arrogant douche bags, most men were exponentially cheaper than women. This gave me an idea. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not gay. I don't plan to start a man harem just because it'd be easier on my wallet. HOWEVER, I needed money. And men are far more likely to have jobs than women at this point. That fact, coupled with the fact that men were cheaper, meant I could build my own workforce. If Zuckerburg can make billions by sitting back and letting others do the work, why can't I?I'd just need to get a bunch of men under my thumb, and they'd pay for themselves. I'd have an army of college bros funding my personal harem! Now THAT was a wicked idea.

In any case, I wanted to start small. I'm not made of money, and since I had already purchased my mom and my girlfriend, I was a bit light on cash. I couldn't just make my girlfriend give me all her money, she would run out and her family would start asking questions. That was a recipe for disaster. My slaves might be alright with serving me, but I had no idea how far the reality bending would work. Who knows if other people would see a problem with what I was doing. All I knew was that I didn't want to risk it.

So, unfortunately, I'd have to start with someone cheap. I think I have the perfect person too. Jimmy Winkles. He's chubby, unpopular, and to top it off, a man. Dude had all the self-confidence of an Asian man trying to make it into the NFL. (Sorry Asians). All these factor into him being a measly $30k. I'd also heard him tell one of his nerdy friends that he was into Crypto and stock trading. Time to see if he was any good at it.
