Jump ahead a bit

And that's how things went for a while. A few nights every week, Jaune and Pyrrha would go out onto the roof to train. One night a week would always be reserved for shield work and blocking, but every other night they would naturally fall into their routine of Jaune attacking Pyrrha, and Pyrrha stripping when Jaune did well.

Jaune's skills didn't improve consistently. He would still have off nights where he only got one or two hits in. In fact, on more than one occasion, Jaune wouldn't get a single hit in. However, unlike before, he wouldn't be deterred by this. He'd get frustrated, naturally, but he'd keep at it. He'd listen to the advice Pyrrha would give him, taking it to heart and incorporating it into his fighting.

In addition to the training, Jaune also found he was enjoying Pyrrha's company. While they got along well before the training, they were also constantly surrounded by other students and worrying about homework and such. Here, when they were taking a break from the training, they were able to just relax and be themselves. Jaune learned that, in addition to her caring nature, she also had pretty good taste in tv shows. She had introduced Jaune to a few comedy shows that he never would've watched otherwise. Jaune even got Pyrrha to read a comic book, which she surprisingly enjoyed. After that first one, she would borrow his comics every other day, and even occasionally go out to buy her own.

To Jaune's mild disappointment, though, he hadn't gotten Pyrrha in any revealing places yet. When he did hit her, it was most often in the legs or arms. Less often, he'd get her head or neck, but he hadn't gotten her in the torso yet. She was, evidently, very adept at protecting that part of her body. While this did irk Jaune, it didn't bother him that much. He understood that, at the end of the day, he was doing this to get better at fighting and he certainly was doing that. Pyrrha would constantly tell him that, even when he didn't get a hit.

But all of that would change very soon...
