And he owed Emerald some relief at this point, given his actions and new revelations. His best angle now was to compete with the kindness Emerald perceived Cinder had shown her... Undermine it if possible. Cinder wasn't going to lift a finger to give Emerald sexual relief going off of Emerald's reaction to the idea of trying to rely on her. He had to avoid getting put in that same box.
