Marching on with a slightly renewed sense of determination, albeit still being just as nervous about the possible outcomes as before, Chelsey approached the next house. It appeared a bit larger than Ivy's, though much less well taken care of, with taller grass, weeds in the lawn, and a cracked and worn-down driveway, leading up to a barren, unpainted porch.

Hesitating slightly as she stepped onto the property, Chelsey recalled Ivy mentioning that she had been told a trick-or-treater was coming, presumably by Vanessa or Penny. As she knocked on the door, noting the lack of a doorbell, Chelsey wondered if the resident of this house had been told of her arrival earlier too.

Hearing heavy footsteps approach, Chelsey yet again waited and mentally prepared for whomever was to open the door.
