Lauren complains

"Really?!" Lauren snapped quietly, glaring at April. "You had to order me the most childish item on the kids menu?!"

"Hey, be glad I didn't order you a bowl of mushed peas." April responded. An evil smile soon came to her face as she asked, "Or maybe you'd prefer that? I can get that waitress to come back and change the order."

"Please no!" Lauren begged quietly, "The mac and cheese is good enough!"

"That's what I thought." April said with a giggle. "Although," she thought out loud, "if we did order you the mashed peas, it would go well with your little outfit."

The entire table erupted into a fit of giggles at that, causing Lauren to fume and pout angrily as she crossed her arms over her chest while turning red in a mixture of anger and embarrassment.

A few minutes later, the waitress returned with their food, placing Lauren's mac and cheese on the plastic tray in front of her. Much to the little woman's chagrin, the pasta had been shaped to look like little smiley faces, only adding to the childishness as she blushed and began to eat. It was good, she would admit that. And she didn't eat anything since before she left for the store.

The waitress placed another bottle of wine on the table for the "three" adults before walking away. April eyed the bottle before eyeing the sippy cup of grape juice (which the waitress had brought to the table as well) that Lauren was begrudgingly drinking from, an evil smirk dancing on her lips as an idea began to form in her head...
