Lauren has to use her words

Her mother drew out another diaper.

"Mom, please..." Lauren moaned. "Can't I have any real clothes?"

"What, the diaper not good enough for you?" Her mother said. "Well, in that case, you're welcome to stay naked, since you like showing off so much..."

Lauren moaned. What kind of nightmare choice was this?! The diaper was embarrassing, but nudity was so.... so.... exposing! She just couldn't stand it, with nothing but her hands to cover her shame.

"The diaper." Lauren said in a tiny voice.

"What was that?" Her mother asked.

"The diaper." Lauren said louder, knwoing the onlookers heard.

"That's no way to ask." Her mother tisked. "ask nicely dear."

"... May I have a diaper?" Lauren asked, hearing the crowd of onlookers laugh. "Please?"
