Copy: Occupation

After pressing the button, Ash was a little confused as to what had changed since there seemed to be no apparent changes to either her or Skyla. Wondering if she had changed something that wouldn't immediately be noticeable, she looked back at the remote to see which button it was that she used. There, Ash saw her finger resting on the purple button in the "Copy-Category". Once she found out what it was that she changed, she'd definitely have to take a note of that.

Ash would soon find out what it was that had changed, however, as when she put the remote back into her bag for the moment, Skyla noticed the twins sitting at their table. Smiling, she took her coffee, got up from her own table and headed over to Ash and Iris.

"Hey there, you two!" she beamed as she placed her coffee on their table and grabbed a chair to sit down with them. "I should have expected to meet you here. How are you doing?"

"Oh, hey Skyla," Iris greeted the Gym Leader with a smile. "We're doing great, we just picked Axew and Deino back up from Professor Oak and decided to grab a bite to eat. What about you?"

"Glad to hear, I'm doing fine myself," Skyla replied. "Though manning the Gym has gotten a bit more tiring since you went on your journey, Ashley."

"Oh, uh, I'm sorry about that," Ash apologized, a little taken aback by Skyla's statement. Was she a Gym Leader now? "I hope it's not too much for you."

"Don't worry about it. What kind of Gym Leader would I be if I wasn't able to handle things on my own?" Skyla assured her with a giggle. "Besides, I'm happy for you to be able to travel together with your sister and support her on her journey, so I'll do my best do make sure you don't have to worry about things back at the Gym while you're away."

"Thanks, Skyla. I appreciate it a lot," Ash thanked the Gym Leader who's colleague she apparently now was.

"It's nothing, really. Anyway, how was your trip to Kanto?" asked Skyla, taking another sip from her coffee.

"Pleasant as always," Iris said with a smile. "With my sister flying us here, I didn't expect anything else."

"Well, I'm not surprised about that. I'm the one who taught her after all," the redheaded Gym Leader boasted with a smug grin.

The three of them continued to chat for a while, Ash and Iris recieving their food in the meantime and starting to eat. As they did, Ash processed what she had found out through their conversation. Apparently, not only was she now the Gym Leader of Mistralton City alongside Skyla, but she was also an experienced pilot. Based on this, she concluded that the aspect she copied from Skyla were her occupations, seeing this as the only reasonable assumption. This in mind, she had successfully changed the goal of her journey. Being a Gym Leader herself in this reality, she was no longer looking to compete in the Indigo League, but instead wanted to support her sister on her own journey as best as she could.

As time went on, the twins eventually finished their meals and Skyla took the last sip of her coffee. Having to part ways again, Skyla said goodbye to Ash and Iris and went to head out of the Pokémon-Center. Ash thought that, if she wanted to perform one more change on Skyla, she would have to do so now before loosing her chance. She could also simply leave it for now, waiting with further changes until they continued their journey.
