"No one touches her." Madeline said her pistol hefted in her hand to add authority. "Anyone does and Eddie will hear about it.
There was a low grumbling among the Powder Gangers, they longed for some release.
"Men won't like that." Tack said, a tone of disappointment in his voice.
"They can get their fun some other way." Madeline said, recalling exactly how her own fate with her introduction to the Powder Gangers occured.
The men continued to grumble but they didn't challenge Madeline.
