The Goddess Tasked You

You chug a quart of water and sate your thirst. You throw on clothes and hop a bus. Thirty minutes later you are standing in from of the smoking ruins of Lilapharmatech.

You slip under the yellow caution tape without anyone seeing you. The ruins look identical to your dream you make your way to the center and climb over familiar rubble.

The corridor is dimly lit and you step over chunks of concrete. You reach a dead end. You slit moistens as you recall your dream. You touch the wall with your hand. Nothing happens. You are about to give up and you move your hand a fraction of an inch left.

An elevator door appears in front of you and opens. It is incredibly high tech, made from polished stainless steel. It looks like it could survive a bombing, which it did.

You step inside and see two buttons. One is red and one is black.

You punch the black button.

The elevator begins it’s descent. The elevator drops quickly. By the feel of it you are at least ten stories below ground.

The elevator door opens. You step out into an antechamber. A large high tech door looms in front of you. Some sort of biometric locking system sits to the side. It looks damaged and you hear occasional crackling.

You lay your hand on a panel and look directly into a view screen.

“Bio…” it crackles. “Analyzed. Wel…” It buzzes with static again. “Jonathon Dryer.”

The door slides open. You step inside. It is dimly lit with emergency lighting. You walk down a corridor and reach another room. There is what looks like some kind of holding cell in the corner. There is a window and an intercom.

You peer inside. “Fuck!” You exclaim. Inside is a succubus. If the DSD had known about this, they’d have destroyed this place long ago. She looks at you, smiles, and sucks her finger.

You hit the intercom.

“Hello?”

The intercom crackles. “Hello, sweetie. The Goddess has asked that I help you. Would you be so kind as to let me out?”

“Who are you? How did you get here?”

“So many questions. Don’t worry, sweetie, you’ll have an eternity to get your answers. My name is Alice and before I gave myself to the Goddess, I was Jonathon Dryer’s girlfriend. Now are you going to let me out?”
