How a Thief meets a Nudist part3

After saying her goodbyes to Carmine and departing from the precinct Cinder looks to see that the sun is already starting to set not wanting to waste anymore time she takes to the rooftops to avoid anymore distractions and head to the location Watts provided to see if she can locate her little thief.

Once she got there she noticed a truck outside a jewelry store no doubt stocking inventory in Cinder's mind since the law would is more relaxed further from the academy then crime would happen more often in places that had things of value so if a certain thief were to steal some jewelry she'd no doubt sell them to a black-market dealer to make some extra money. Now only time would tell if the person she was looking for would take the bait. After about an hour the truck drives away heading to the next destination. It's now dark and Cinder was about to call it quits and try again tomorrow when low and behold she spots from the corner of her a eye a girl with green hair and dark skin just as Watts had described.

The girl slowly makes her way to the store not knowing that she was being spied on and just as she opened the door Cinder jumps and lands on the ground and heads over to the stores window to see what's going on. She couldn't believe that a thief would just walk into the store either she was confident in her skills or just a complete armature. Cinder could make out a bit of what they were saying.

Store Owner: A beautiful ring for a beautiful woman.

Cinder couldn't believe what was going on was the man giving this girl a ring freely? Was she in a relationship with this older man? He certainly looked happy judging by his smile on his face. Just as Cinder was pondering the development she was soon was pulled out of her thoughts to look up and hear the shrieking by the store owner.

Store Owner: What the... impossible where did-!? ..Hey stop get back here!!

Seeing this start to escalate Cinder darts to the side of the store and peaks out to see the thief flee into the opposite direction with four people most likely the store's owner and his employees coming out of the store to give chase.

Male employee: There she went that way!

Female employee: Someone call the police!!?

Store Owner: How did she do that?

With little time to waste Cinder park core's up to the top of the store's roof and begins to give chase as well in the hopes of learning the secret to how the girl just plucked the ring out of the shop keeper's hand.

Looking down she can see the group of people with the girl they are after further ahead. Cinder sprints forward leaping from building to building keeping her eyes on the thief before the girl turns a corner. Cinder stops to see the girl head into a empty dead-end alleyway run up one of the walls and then uses her built up momentum to jump to a adjacent wall with a open window before climbing inside and closing the window behind her.

When her would be pursuers finally reach the corner the notice no one is there.

Store Owner: She must have went this way.

Pointing toward the end of the of the street encouraging his employee's to follow him. Once they were go Cinder stealthily makes her way to the roof of the building to where the thief entered. Quietly making her way inside she slowly walks around to peek around the corner to see the girl sitting on a torn up sofa no doubt tired from all the running. Upon taking further look at her surroundings Cinder deduced this to be the girls makeshift hideout.

The girl finally catching her breath gets up and turns on a radio to listen to music probably to calm her nerves. Seeing this as her chance Cinder slowly makes her way towards the girl without her noticing her presence or the sound of her heels moving towards her as if she were in her own world.

Cinder: How did you do that!

???:*Gasp*!!!

The sudden sound of the voice caused the girl to drop the small radio on the ground breaking it. She quickly turns to where the voice originated from to see the silhouette of Cinder's form but not enough to know what she is wearing or not wearing. She begins to reach for her weapons when Cinder finally breaks the silence.

Cinder: Don't....unless of course you want those outside to hear you?

Realizing that if the sound of gunfire were to go off here and now it would bring unwanted attention that would result in people finding where she lives the girl lets go of her weapons.

???: What do you want?

Cinder: I've already told you and I don't like repeating myself.

???: I didn't do anything so just leave me alone!

Such a flat out lie made Cinder smirk.

Cinder: I know my fair share of liars and thieves; stealing is an art of patience, coordination and in a pinch slight of hand. But you didn't steal that ring in your pocket; you took it right before the jeweler's eyes.. and he smiled.

???:…Who are you?

Cinder: My name is Cinder Fall and you?

???: I'm...Emerald Sustrai

With that Cinder then proceeded to drop her weapons and removed her belt to show she was unarmed and then walked forward toward the window and rests one leg on the window's stool and allowing the pale light of the moon to now illuminate Cinder's naked body to Emerald.

Cinder: A pleasure to make your acquaintance Emerald.

Emerald: Um...is there a reason why your naked?
