CD Day 10 - Retrace your steps

Well... you just have to find your way back. Nobody would be having a cookout this time of night, right?

"Let's just go back," you say to Duni, who nods agreement.

It's not easy, but Duni's very sensible, and she outlines a smart way to make sure you don't get lost. But it's still a long walk in the dark.

"I heard about the stuff going on in your cabin," Duni says as she walks beside you. You want to hold her hand, but you feel like... maybe you aren't there yet.

"Did you?"

She gives you a pat on the bottom. "After that I almost believe it. Is any of it true?"

Probably all of it...

"I really wanted to win this game," you confess. "I was just trying to do what I had to do to keep them happy. I didn't know they'd be horny idiots."

"Like you?"

"Like me," you say with a sigh. "Look, I like girls, but I didn't sign up to be a shared dildo."

"Sounds kind of fun," Duni says.

You laugh. "It's just stressful. Being captain is hard. We got our asses kicked because those idiots got out of control. I won't let that happen again."

"Ooh," Duni says, biting her lip and looking over at you slyly. "I'll admit you're at least a bit attractive when you're like that."

"You're always attractive," you say back to her.

"I won't believe you have a thing for me," Duni says airily. "You barely know me."

"But I want to," you say. "Let's go on a date. Not an angry rage hookup in the woods. A date."

She's quiet for a second as you walk, and you realize she's embarrassed.

"I did tell you I've never done anything with a girl before. Before I met you," she says.

"So you're saying I'm your first?" you ask playfully.

"OK. We'll have a date," she says.

"No rules this time? I don't have to win my game?"

"You should win your game for your own sake," she says with a laugh.

She's right. You find the camp safely and split up. You don't get a goodnight kiss, but you touch her hand and she smiles. Duni is so great, and she at least... kind of likes you too. You lost the game, but you're still at camp, and so is she. You have the weekend together, and next week... will be an adventure. It's not all bad.
