Madeline and her raiders were well prepared and motivated for the attack
Madeline had prepared with plenty of extra firepower and had the respect of her Powder Gangers. They did as she commanded. When the Powder Gangers launched their attack on the unsuspecting Caravan they were sure to leave none alive who couldn't be pressed into service or slavery. It wasn't an easy fight. But it was successful. Madeline took her share of the loot, and her men respected her even more.
Back at the Powder Gangers base her renown would grow.
