They discuss some ground rules.

"Now then, we gotta discuss our approach to things," he told her, and she sighed, impatient to get started.

"Fine, just make it fast..."

"First, PLEASE be discreet about getting a girl's hair, or other DNA sample..." he sighed. "A lot of people are aware some nefarious can be done with that kind of thing in universes where superpowers and magic exist, and even in places they don't, there's still superstition, and it just looks creepy."

"Alright, I'll try..." she grumbled.

"Next, don't piss off the locals," he added.

"That one's a no brainer. Even against normals, you're useless in a fight," she quipped. It was true... Despite having one of the most powerful abilities in their World, the ability to go to literally any universe once could imagine, Jett couldn't take, or throw a punch, a random civilian could kick his ass so bad, it would look like they were playing a fighting game... And one person had unplugged the other's controller.

So... Yeah, if they got into a fight with a superhuman... Then they were toast unless they could get the hell out of there. Hell, Jett actually discovered his power in school when a bully had shoved him in a locker, and he accidentally used it to get out... Side note, she strongly suspected that that was when the H.P Lovecraft incident, whatever the hell he was talking about, he had just mentioned happened, because all he would say about it while they were in school was that he should have stayed in the locker, and he had to talk to the school counselor once a week for their remaining years in school.

(Yeah, gonna be a few references to that incident without going into specifics... But of you're familiar with Lovecraft, then it goes without saying that Jett is very lucky he got out of there intact, and didn't accidentally bring anything back with him.)

"Exactly," he deadpanned. "So no starting shit we can't finish. No power fantasies about overthrowing governments you don't agree with, or starting anything with a random thug, we keep our damn heads down as much as possible, capiche?"

"Agreed."

"Good... That should be it then, other than don't go crazy and take every attractive girl we see, let's keep the haul from each world manageable," he said, before taking a deep breath, and then reaching forward. Then, he gripped the air, which seemed to bend like he was gripping fabric, and then pulled his arm back, causing space itself to seemingly tear open, and in the tear was a dark grey void.

"After you," he told her, and she nodded, and went through the portal, him flowing after, allowing them to end up in Japan of the MHA world.
