Wonder Woman... Gassed?

The moment Wonder Woman enters the building, a high-frequency signal activates. It immediately scrambles all of Batman’s listening devices. At the same time, it renders Superman’s super-hearing completely ineffective.

Inside, Wonder Woman doesn't notice anything is amiss as she continues her search. Unfortunately, the unseen gas she's been breathing since entering is beginning to take affect on her.

Her vision suddenly blurring, Diana blinks quickly in an attempt to clear her sight. Realizing something is wrong, she barely has time to react as she stumbles into the wall. The room lurches and seems to spin all around her. A moment later, Diana feels herself losing consciousness.

"B-Bat-" Wonder Woman begins, but her words never reach her friends. Struggling to stay on her feet, Diana tips to once side, her shoulder hitting against the other wall of the narrow corridor. It was no use. Diana sways shakily before collapsing to the ground.

Outside, over the high-pitched wail, the other two heroes outside hear the thunderous, and distinct, BOOM of one of Apokolips boom-tubes. Bursting into the warehouse mere seconds later, Batman and Superman arrive too late.

Wonder Woman was gone. Taken… by Darkseid.
