They headed to the training rooms, and spent the next hour exchanging what they knew about combat, Weiss telling Pyrrha how to anticipate a Grimm's moves, which was mainly just knowing the type of Grimm you were dealing with, or at least a bit about the animal they look like, as they tend to emulate the animal in question.

Beowolves for example, like actual wolves, preferred to hunt in packs, and surround their prey. And the first one to attack was generally the one at their victim's back, so if one saw a Beowolf or several before them, odds were very high that one or more were about to get you from behind while the rest were occupying your attention, so situational awareness was indispensable when fighting them.

Boarbatusks on the other hand, like the one Weiss had fought, were more comfortable attacking alone, and tended to hyper focus on their target, charging with deadly, yet reckless ****. Defeating them was as easy as dodging at the right moment and not fighting them head on, on their terms.

Pyrrha of course, already knew this, but listened along to maintain the ruse that Weiss had something to teach her. She then began teaching Weiss some combat stances that would go great with her rapier and revolver combination.

Soon, they left the training room, and Weiss sighed, still looking crestfallen over not being team leader over Ruby... Then again, she didn't have that much right to complain to Pyrrha about it... After all, Pyrrha was the obvious pick for leader of her own team, and yet, Ozpin, for reasons WAAAY beyond Weiss, picked an idiot that somehow came to Beacon without even knowing what Aura was to lead that team!

"...you don't seem very proud of yourself right now..." Pyrrha told Weiss, snapping before her out of her thoughts.

"Was it that obvious?" she grumbled.

"A little bit," Pyrrha said mildly. "Lien for you thoughts?"
