Chapter 2 by tyranus tyranus

Name of the game and the players?

Cursed Game with a title in undecipherable script.

Sitting on a shelf of games in a rundown curio shop somewhere in Louisiana off Interstate 10, sits a game. How long it has sat there is just about anyone's guess, even the current owner. The text on the cover is unreadable, worn down with age, but inside, the cards and rules are written in plain English, legible, and surprisingly, pristine. The owner himself has read the rules multiple times, after all, the game has turned back up in his shop after he's sold it over a dozen times. Each time, after either a few days, or even a few months, it turns back up on that shelf. A curiosity, in some ways, perfect for this shop. The rules themselves seem mundane enough, if slightly oddly written.

Rules

"This game is to be played with between 3 to 7 players.

The game contains the following: A deck of 48 Cards, and 2 D6 dice.

Each player takes a turn, and draws a card which will present them with some form of change that will affect them. After they read the card (either to themselves or aloud), they roll a D6. This D6 is the "awareness die", and has the following effect based on the face presented:
1 - No one is aware of the change. For all intents and purposes, the active player has always been this way.
2 - Only the active player is aware of the change.
3 - Only the active player is unaware of the change.
4 - Only the players are aware of the changes.
5 - Only the players are unaware of the changes.
6 - Everyone is aware of the changes.
No one in the game, or out of it, will find these changes so horrifying that drastic action will be taken.

Some cards require additional D6 rolls to determine extra effects.

Once all dice are rolled, the effect will take place, and it is the next player's turn.

A simple breakdown of the deck is as follows: 24 Cards represent physical alterations, of which 3 are duplicates. 18 Cards represent mental alterations. 6 Wildcards.

Enjoy!"

The shopkeeper had, at one point tried changing the sign in front of the game, describing what was inside. Tried to put a warning on it, or made it unreasonably expensive, but no matter what, someone inevitably always brings it to the counter, and he himself always accepts whatever they said it was labelled, and the price, only to realize after they leave, what had happened. It seemingly always has a new name, defined in such a way as to attract a new user, with a new description, at the perfect price point.

Who finds the game?
