Chapter 18 by gunde gunde

Who answers?

Mom

While waiting for someone to pick up the phone on the other end of the line, Scott ambled over to Tanya’s bookcase and randomly picked out a couple of books to examine once he’d tilted his head slightly to the left.

The first book was Jerome K. Jerome’s “Three Men in a Boat”, which Scott had heard of but hadn’t read, and the other was Philip K. Dick’s “The Man in the High Castle”, which was enough to provide Tanya with some pretty irreproachable geek credentials.

Scott was kept from conducting any further examination into Tanya’s literary tastes by the sound of someone answering his call, and he soon let out a friendly “Hi mom” as he recognized his mother’s voice.

Tanya had done nothing about her state of undress during their unpacking of Scott’s possessions, and the gorgeous girl smiled at how Scott turned round to gaze at her briefly before averting his gaze, as though he didn’t wish to be distracted by the beautiful bottomless angel while talking to his mother.

“Yeah mom, I’ve arrived in one piece,” Scott assured his mother, “everything’s gone great, the flight was a bit gruelling, but that’s about it.”

The feel of Tanya’s full, round breasts against his back and her head resting on his shoulders while her arms came round to hug his stomach caused a considerable flutter in Scott’s voice as he said “Uh-huh, the school seems pretty awesome, everyone’s really anxious that I’ll feel welcomed.”

“No, they haven’t told me that much about the curriculum yet,” Scott told his mother as Tanya rubbed her right cheek against his shoulder before squirming her body against his, “uh, but it’s only my first day here so…”

“Hey, stop it! No mom, I wasn’t talking to you,” Scott suddenly had reason to try and explain his cheerfully surprised protest at the way in which Tanya had seamlessly reached in and unbuckled his belt, with her letting go off it when he playfully smacked her hand.

“Actually mom,” Scott turned round to face Tanya, whose mischievous smile faded away and was replaced by a warm expression that involved her biting her lip and meeting his gaze before nodding her consent to where he seemed to be taking things, “I’ve sort of met someone, a girl I mean.”

“Of course she’s sweet, mom,” Scott broke out into a happy smile as he stole another glance from Tanya, noticing how she smiled at the annoyance in his voice as he answered what he obviously considered to be a very superfluous question, though her smile only grew wider and warmer as Scott went on to say “she’s sweet and smart and funny and cute and she’s got great taste in books. I think you’d really like her.”

“Yeah, I’m about happy it too…” Scott’s voice faded away as he looked at Tanya while agreeing with his mother’s happiness that he had finally met someone, allowing her to note how he sucked in air as she wrapped her fingers around the hand that he held out towards her.

“Mom, of course you’ll get to speak to her,” Scott assured his mother, and then spotted how Tanya kept looking at him as she nodded her head, “Uh, in fact… she’s here with me right now, so if you want to…”

About a second or so later, Scott was offering his cell phone to Tanya, who readily accepted it and brought it up to ear, greeting his mother with a cordial but friendly “Hello Mrs. Dorian,” while he got to work on fixing his belt buckle.

“I’m Tanya,” Tanya happily introduced herself to Scott’s mother, “Yes, well, considering we only met this morning and now I’m talking to you, I guess I’d have to characterize it as a whirlwind romance.”

“But please do tell me about yourself,” Tanya asked Scott’s mother, and then treated him to several minutes worth of her remaining keenly interested in his mom as she carried on a conversation with her.

“Mom,” Scott said once Tanya had handed him his phone again, “be sure to say to everyone for me, and tell dad I’m sorry I missed him. Yeah, I love you too. Okay, bye.”

“There, I hope you didn’t mind talking to her,” Scott said to Tanya as it finally dawned on him that he might be taking things way too fast for her to be comfortable with.

“Oh, I’m sure you noticed that I found it to be a thoroughly gruesome experience, ma chérie” Tanya teased him before offering him a saucy smile.

“That’s like the third language you’ve called me honey in, isn’t it?” Scott’s question came as a result partly of curiosity and partly because he was to flummoxed by how easy everything seemed to be with Tanya.

“Uh-huh,” Tanya nodded her head, “And I know a few more that I can think of, so I’m just trying to find which one I like best.”

“Well, as long as you don’t decide to call me honey bunny.”

“Alright honey bunny,” Tanya then chuckled at the expression on Scott’s face.
