Chapter 15 by Consensueros Consensueros

The End?

No, just the beginning for Mackenzie.

(With thanks to SpiralFelix for encouragement, ideas, and the writing of the earlier storyline)

Mackenzie bit her lip, pouting slightly, and couldn't help stamping her foot in exasperation at the way this day had gone. She didn't even have a porch roof or awnings to hide under from the constant deluge. In response, the sky suddenly lit up as lightning cracked through the sky, crashing somewhere in the woods she had just traveled. The flash and immediate deafening crash sent her briefly to her knees in fright, hands covering her head. As her heart raced, fear now adding to the feeling of humiliation, she looked out at the street.

The sky was now dark, no longer lit by the sun behind the clouds, and aside from a few spots of light, visibility was extremely limited. She could feel and hear the storm winds picking up. Illuminated by the streetlight across the street, the rain was now blowing to the side instead of falling straight down, and despite the balmy heat, the winds that blew now were colder and stronger. Clutching her arms tight to her chest to control and protect her soaked breasts, she felt the cold wind blow across her and a massive shiver started at the base of her spine, crawling quickly up her back to her neck and then her whole body started to shake, her teeth even starting to chatter.

She quickly took stock of her choices as her blush momentarily faded and the urge to get warm started to take over. The windows on her house were too high; while she was ready to break a window, she'd never be able to climb up in the cold rain and wind. The doors were thick and reinforced, and she'd never be able to smash one down. She could get into the shed with the combination lock if she wanted to, but that cursed place had already cost her a cute blue sundress, her gardening jeans, and a comfortable tank top over the last few months alone. She had no clothes to lose this time, but the shed's dirt floor became a massive mud puddle every storm and it wouldn't be at all warm or comfortable. She could just stay outside, right? It would almost be worth getting sick or hurt to avoid having to present herself naked to the boy next door... She was stalling, and her teeth were chattering harder the more she waited. She knew what she had to do, and waiting wasn't going to make it better....

What does she do?
