Take a quick look at the settings

As a guy whose done a fair bit of programming, coding, and debugging, I know that, as boring as they can be, settings are important. I pulled up the notification and read:

You have surpassed 10 matches. Well done! You have unlocked the customizable message feature. This lets you make your own personal message to greet each new capture, instead of the generic one they now see. You can also retroactively send this greeting to all your current captures. Would you like to customize your greeting now?

Now why the hell would the greeting matter? I opened the editor and saw that the greeting was very basic. But so what? These women were under my control, it didn't matter if the greeting was boring, did it?

Unless there was more to the greeting than that. I tried to imagine being a woman receiving a notice that someone had captured me and that I was bound to obey his every command. Based on what I saw in Grace earlier, she felt the truth of it, and it made her uncomfortable. What would I do in that situation?

Shit.

I would do whatever I could to get out of that situation. I would destroy my phone, I would relocate and change my name, I would... if ****... try to stop this guy that had such power over me.

Oh shit, Oh shit, Oh shit, Oh shit, Oh shit, Oh shit, O shit!!

I pictured a **** woman hunting me down, searching for my apartment, plugging her ears with cotton, knocking on the door, gun in hand...

I quickly typed a new message:

You've been captured by Ron! Don't find Ron, he'll find you. Don't try to hurt Ron. Don't tell anyone else about this app or about Ron.

I clicked OK and had the message sent to all of my current captures. Alright, that should give me some breathing room. I spent another ten minutes thinking up a better greeting, considering loopholes and other challenges. Finally, I crafted another greeting message to replace the first one:

Keep reading this message. You've been captured by Ron. Don't worry about it. Don't tell anyone about Ron or about this app unless Ron gives you permission. Don't try to avoid Ron or do anything that might hurt Ron. Keep your phone close by and read whatever Ron sends you. Always tell Ron the truth and always answer his questions. Don't try to find Ron, wait until he reaches out to you. Ron is the only man for you now – don't date or have any physical relationship with any other man without Ron's permission. As soon as possible, get tested for STI and be ready to give Ron your results.

There, that was good enough for now. I thought about telling them to stop all birth control, since my personal sexual fantasy involves impregnation risk, but that seemed to be something I needed to consider carefully another time.

I was glad I had taken the time to check my settings! Now, back to the task at hand – finding a woman to warm my bed that night. I opened my library of captured women and started browsing:
