A different doctor

Olivia gasped as when the door opened she saw a different woman stride into the room. She was younger and looked to be about 25 maybe. “Hello, Dr North is a bit busy today, so I’ll be handling this,” the woman said. “I’m Dr Jane Kelsey. Let’s see your reports. It looks like your vitals are very healthy. And it seems like you’ve had your regular check up this year, so what seems to be the issue?”

Olivia blushed, feeling ashamed to have to admit any of this to someone younger than her, but she had **** if she wanted a solution. “I… I’ve been having bladder leaks,” Olivia said. “I can’t control them and I’m unaware when it happens.”

“I see…” Jane said. “Well let’s see. Put your feet in these stirrups for me. Very nice. Don’t mind me, I’m just going to lift your gown out of the way.”

Olivia squirmed as Jane lifted the bottom of the gown up. Jane looked intently at the padded underwear. Jane then pulled out a plastic sheet and slid it under Olivia’s bottom. “What are you doing?”

“I need to look closer at your bladder, so I’ll need to pull these off,” Jane explained as she took hold of Olivia’s underwear and pulled them down to her ankles.

Olivia gasped as her bare crotch and bottom was exposed. She could see urine trickling out as well, making it even more embarrassing. Jane took a plastic cup and held it under Olivia, catching the urine and sealing it. Jane took a sharpie and wrote on the cup and then slid it through a metal slot. “Please, can you help me?”

Jane said. “We’ll have to wait for the lab results to come back, but I suspect you have an overactive bladder. If that’s the case, then there’s not a particular way to solve the problem. I can give you medication that will reduce pressure on your bladder, but you’ll still need to wear protective underwear. What you have now, though, might not work long term. Olivia watched as Jane pulled the training pants off and replaced them with the thicker adult pull up underwear. “If it gets worse, call me right away,” Jane said. “Here’s my card.”

Olivia took it as Jane left the room. Olivia wanted to cry as she held the package of Depend underwear. She prayed that this was going to work and that her situation wouldn’t get worse. She pulled her clothes back on and left, scheduling her follow up appointment.
