You eventually get her isolated, and she enlists your help.

Despite your asking a number of questions, Naomi is really the only one to answer. Emily and Olivia are busy chatting nonstop, but even they occasionally have a story to share relating to your question. Only after Naomi excuses herself and gets up to check out the area are you able to try talking directly to Velvet. You ask her some direct questions, trying to get her background. She's **** to answer, and you trade questions with each other. You end up knowing what her class schedule looks like, and you do have chem lab together on Thursdays. She's starting her engineering major and is from a rural area. You get the idea that she's pretty sheltered but still sounds jaded at the same time. You can't really read much into it given how reserved she's being.

You weren't paying attention to Olivia and Emily's conversation, so you're surprised when they both get up from the table. Olivia waves down Naomi who is across the park and they head over to her, leaving you and Velvet alone. Now, you don't mind trying to get some gossip about the other members of the group.

"So," you start. "Is Olivia like your advisor or something?"

"Yeah. Something like that." She responds. "I'm guessing you were paired up with Emily?"

"Yeah. It's been helpful having someone to help guide me. Around campus, I mean." Velvet just nods in response, so you try taking a chance. "I think I saw you at the early orientation on Friday, did you move in early for a work-study program or something?"

"Huh, oh, no, that wasn't it."

You have her cornered now, you just have to mind your choice of words carefully now. "Oh? How did you get in early then?"

"I, uh..." she thinks for a moment, before answering. "There was a research program that I got in. For a scholarship, so, you know." Either she's not too quick on her feet or she's banking on you not knowing about the X-Change research. You guess there could be other research programs going on on campus, but you're choosing to believe she's an X-Change subject too. That might explain her clumsiness earlier if she's not yet used to her new body.

Nonetheless, you don't think you can press the topic any further, so you try changing the subject. "What do you think of Naomi? I would kill for a pair like that." You look over at her while she chats with Emily and Olivia.

"Yeah..." Velvet's breasts are even smaller than yous, nearly completely flat. She looks over at the busty nerd as well. You're not sure if she also meant squishing your face between them rather than upgrading your own bust. "What's her problem?" You hear her mutter under her breath.

"Who?" You respond, not breaking your stare.

"Sorry, it's nothing. I mean..." She trails off for a moment. "Maybe you can help me, but you can't tell Olivia or anyone else."

Huh? She needs your help, but why can't her mentor know?
