The Adventure Begins!

The six party members went to a meeting in the town of Gorhen to talk about what exactly they will be doing, and also this is the first time all six meet each other. During this, they have been told about the other 4 parties put together. They decided to put multiple together, all as best as they can get. Each group with six people. The main goal of their party is to find Valla Ganam and then to inform the other parties and have all 5 groups infiltrate and capture her. After the meeting, the party went to the tavern to celebrate being chosen.

The party is sitting around a large table, all drinking and eating, having a good time. Two are not drinking

Amber: “This will be a great adventure! Let’s hope we can all get along and defeat this bitch!” She says this as she slams her mug down.

Ana: “ Yes, let us work together and save everyone!” She puts down a mug of coffee before saying this.

{caelynn_name}: “I only hope we all come out safe. Mostly Ana, but either way, I hope for our sake Valla is some pushover.”

Mara: “Doesn’t matter who she is, we are considered the strongest of the 5 groups. Not to mention, we have the only guy out of them as well. We have the advantage here since we can breed as well.”

Ander: “We may have me and are considered strong, but we do not know who Valla is. We will still want to be careful, lest we are defeated by our own ego.” He says as he drinks from his tea.

Callie rolls Insight on Ander: Rolls a 10+4=14

Callie: “You don’t talk like that normally, do you?”

Ander: Pauses for a second, “No, but what I said is not wrong. We don’t know who she is, and she could be far stronger than we expect.”

Amber: “You are quite right, when we do eventually find her, we must take care not to risk more than we need to. But for now, let us rejoice in at least being chosen for such a job!”

They all enjoy this time for the next hour, even some other patrons join in this joy by drinking some more. They raise the spirits of everyone there, even if many are the men hurt by the curse trying to forget their sorrows. Once things calm down a bit, a woman walks in and sits across from the party.

X: “Hello, I am going to be your representative in the Guild. I am going to need each of you to sign something real quick. I know you were busy with all of this, but we need to get to business.”

The party signs the papers, reading that they are simple quest acceptance letters, so they can more easily accept quests with a simple “yes”.

X: “Good, you may all call me X. All representatives go by names like this for secrecy. You may find me by asking at any guild house for someone with that name. Any questions before I continue?”

Ander: “Do we have a quest yet?”

X: “That was the next part. Assuming there are no other questions, let us continue on. Your first mission is to test your skill in combat, and how well you work together. Just to make sure the right choice was made. There is a goblin cave nearby that used to give no trouble, and even occasionally helped the people of this town. But after this curse hit, many women have disappeared recently. It is believed that they were stolen to become breeding stock for the goblins, as a way to increase the number of goblins greatly. It has only happened in the last few days, and we think they may at least not be pregnant yet.”

Amber: “Why would they not be? I heard goblin sperm is very potent. My friend has a goblin husband, she is the one who told me this.”

Callie rolls an intelligence check: 19+4=23

Callie: “For dwarves, this may be true. But for humans, it is only true for Human men getting goblin women pregnant. For goblin men, getting a human woman pregnant is a chore, not impossible but it has a very low chance.”

X: “Correct, so we hope for their sake they are not pregnant yet. We also like to at least look at the positive that all had husbands and had children before, meaning they are not virgins, which might at least reduce the pain caused to them.”

Ander rolls for Insight: Nat 20, although the roll only needed to be a 5 at least. The roll was unnecessary but decided to do it anyway. Mostly did it so there was someone other than Callie rolling, I am one person rolling for them all

Ander: “An optimist I assume?”

X: “I try, normally I don’t think about it. This situation is quite different, and I do hope they are not going through too much.”

Mara: “Someone you know must have been taken?”

X: “I am not at liberty to say who it is, but yes.”

Mara: “I understand, a friend of mine went through a horrible situation like this one. Not goblins, just one stupid guy. She was saved by a guard, but the damage had been done. I promise that whoever your friend is, we will save them. Them and all the others!”

X: “Thank you.” She wipes away a tear, “Anyways, here are the documents on this case, should they be helpful.”.

She hands the party a folder filled with only a few papers, and then leaves, wishing them good luck.
