As the alligators started attacking the cage, Fio said, "Well, I believe now would be a good time to start blasting Megumin."

"Not yet," Kazuma held up a hand. "The cage should hold for at least a few minutes, and more alligators are on the way. Plus, I think Darkness is having fun, and I'm not mean enough to end it too soon for her..."

"Yes you are," Aqua deadpanned.

"Oi, give me some credit, I'm an ass, but I do have standards," Kazuma retorted.

"Sure you do," Megumin rolled her eyes. He pouted a bit as Darkness was blushing at the ferocity of the alligators as they tried to get into the cage to eat her alive. Finally, there were about twenty, and Kazuma gave Megumin the nod to go ahead. "Finally," she grinned, and with that, did the incantation, and fired the spell, just as some alligators had managed to force their heads partway in to snap at Darkness.

KABOOM! The alligators and Darkness got blown up as planned. This time though, the cage was wrecked beyond repair. "Oh well, it was useful while it lasted," Kazuma shrugged as they hurried down to the water.

"I love this party..." Darkness slurred deliriously as Kazuma pulled her out of the water. Her armor was heavy as hell, but he managed.

"Here come more!" Cremea pointed and Kazuma looked up to see multiple alligators swimming at them, before he drew his sword to quickly dispatch the survivors of Megumin's Explosion, Fio joining in while Cremea stood against the new arrivals.
