Chapter 126 by sexyslave sexyslave

How does training and the coffee date go?

Pretty darn well! ...if a bit painfully for the former...

"...ow..." Felix groaned, massaging his chest and wincing as he got his coffee. It was a couple hours later, and their sparring session had come and gone.

"Sorry, I didn't think I hit you quite that hard," Supergirl said sheepishly, though quietly despite being in a booth distant from other patrons, and in her civilian clothes now. "I'm still a little unsure as to the limits of your durability," she admitted.

"It's fine, my granted super strength isn't nearly as much as your natural strength, and even now, I'm having to focus not to crush this coffee cup by accident," he admitted. "Plus, the amount of **** needed to put down a person normally would no longer work on me, so I imagine some trial and error in determining my durability is needed..."

"Yeah... Clark described it as living in a world of cardboard once," Supergirl replied. "If anything, I'd say he was underselling it."

"I don't doubt it," Felix agreed. "Probably closer to tissue paper."

"I'm one of those in the minority of League members that can put up a decent fight against Clark in a straight fight, and take his hits... But that's to be expected, seeing as we're the same kind of alien, and thus, have the same power set," she chuckled.

"I'm also one of the few who can go toe to toe with Superman," Diana remarked. "Though he is still stronger than I am, without a doubt."

"That's true, but just being able to keep up with him puts you in top tier levels," Supergirl noted with a smirk.

"So, how are things going at the League in general?" Felix asked, taking another sip of his coffee.

Supergirl smirked. "Other than responding to emergencies, not much is going on. The Brainiac incident recently is the most exciting thing to occur since... well, the Doomsday fight, actually. Okay, yeah, this is more a short break than anything else," she admitted.

"Rarely a dull moment in your line of work, huh?" Felix grimaced.

"Not quite true. More like there are a lot of moments where the job is like, "Nothing, nothing, nothi- oh shit, all hands on deck!"" Supergirl half joked, and she, Felix and Diana shared a laugh at that little comment.

"So, I guess it leads to most of you being constantly on edge?" Felix asked, and Supergirl.

"Mostly Batman, but yes," she replied, and Felix gave her a flat look.

"He doesn't count. There's being on edge, and then there's being flat out paranoid," he replied, and Diana snorted. "Seriously, you should see the shit he rigged into my house."

"Yeah, he's something else entirely," Supergirl admitted, before putting down her coffee. "So, there's something I'm very interested in discussing with you."

Felix paused, and met her gaze. "...and what might that be?" he asked.

What does she want to discuss?
