Deciding to not give him any time to think at all, you bring your sword away from the Dwarf's shield and followed up on the attack from before. Using the Dwarf's weight, reliance on his shield, and confusion to your liking, you raised a heavily armored boot to his shield and gave a tremendous kick before he had any idea what was going on. As you did this, you positioned your sword in the air, ready to strike.

Just as you predicted, the kick was not predicted by the Dwarf and it sent his shield arm going wide as it made him off-balance. He was wide open for a strike to end his miserable life!

But, before you make the stab to the back of his head, you a split second thought. Dwarfs were a sturdy people, more stamina that most races combined, lived a long time, and was good at two things...making ale and crafting armaments. Surely once broken in...he could be a great asset for your Master and his ever growing armies.

Problem now is...in the midst of a battle like this, is it worth it to try and put in the extra effort to knock him out? Or just kill him and move on to his allies. After all, the Dark Lord only wants you to repel this invasion by any means necessary. Anything else is just bonus points.
