Press 3 for Mass Effect 3

The third and final entry in the Shepard trilogy, this game opens with the Reapers finally reaching the galaxy and targeting Earth first of all - due to Shepard being human and a thorn on their side. Escaping them by a hair's breadth, Shepard tries to forge alliances to push them back and retake Earth, but has to waddle through countless politicking among races wary of each other and too worried about the survival of their own species.

Though the game refined even further the gameplay aspect of the game, Mass Effect 3 featured one of the most controversial endings of those times, creating countless of bickering and angered arguing between defenders and detractors on the internet.

In any case, Mass Effect 3 didn't introduce as many important female characters as the other two games, most likely because as third and final act, most characters were already in place. But there are still some worth mentioning.
