Power comes back

An hour later the power came back on. The computer picked up where it had left off.

At last count it knew there were 2 occupants in the house. However it could only find profiles for Della and their parents. Searching through it’s history it discovered there were no complete backups of this other individual.

Using simple deduction it created a profile for John, based on the last know name it found of the unknown individual. Buried deep in it history cache were files from the previous family. Choosing the last opened file, it pulled information for the new file, deciding it was correct since it was all it had.

For the next several minutes the computer pull whatever uncorrupted information it could find. Unfortunately for John, this information consisted of bits pulled from a user profile called Jennifer and bits from Della’s info, assuming that this unknown individual must be related in some way. Information it couldn’t find was simply chosen based on the computer’s own logic.
