Ah yes, why not. The world where humans are only strong by the monsters that they keep. A decent world to start your conquest and to test your powers. You wonder if you would count as a "Fighting Type" in this world.

Celeste pulls up a some possible candidates;

1. Misty is always a popular option and has shown herself to be strong in spirit if not battling ability. Though how you'll convert her to the side of brawn and evil is left up to you. Still her charm and energy could be welcome additions
2. Sabrina is also a welcome option from the lovely gym leaders. Her powerful psychic abilities and Pokemon would help your own efforts greatly. Though if you are a "Fighting Type" Sabrina will have an advantage against you.
3. Professor Ivy One of the few Female Professors, she would be of great help in gaining a better understanding of the world.
4. Cynthia stands as quite possibly the strongest female battler in the world, and is a powerful champion in her own right. Taking her on could be challenging but also ramp you up to "Champion State" faster, letting you just skip a couple steps on your conquest. Still even if that doesn't happen, she's sure to be a great asset.
5. Jessie with ties to a crime group, and lower moral fibers she could be just what you need. She might be the weakest of this list but her strong will and personality has prevented her from giving up thus far.

There's also many more you could choose from, such as Ash's traveling partners, other gym leaders, Player characters, and even some Pokemon themselves.
