Pleasant passengers and curious consumerism

As you drive home, you can’t help but glance at your passengers. In only about a month, you have gone from being a depressed, albeit wealthy loner, to having a car full of beautiful women laughing and joking with each other. Maya, the energetic half-dragon, having basically become your inseparable partner. Anna, your slender and submissive housekeeper turned devoted servant. And now Elys, an exiled gorgon, becoming a kind of bodyguard to protect your strange new family from a group of bigoted terrorists. Not to mention stunningly beautiful and a bit of an exhibitionist, you think as she catches your eyes roaming over her and winks.

Nevertheless, you find yourself watching other cars with suspicion as you make your way home. If you’re honest with yourself, it’s hard not to get paranoid when people you care about are threatened by some shadowy organization. You sigh, trying to banish the dark thoughts as you make plans to upgrade your home security.

As you wait at a stop light you pull out a card that Rachel slipped you as you were leaving. A web address is written on it, pointing you towards the so-called ‘Alternate World Item Auction”. If you had to hazard a guess, somehow goods were being exchanged through the portal, though what goods, and how was beyond you. A mystery to solve at home, then.

Your attention is drawn back to your passengers as you hear whispering and giggles. “Ladies, you’re not planning anything sinister, I hope.”

Maya grins, poking you with a scaled finger, “If we were, we wouldn’t tell you!”

Anna blushes, nodding, “J-just girl talk, master. Elys wanted to hear some stories about what we’ve been up to.”

Elys puts an arm around the petite maid, winking at you, “Jussst wanted to know what kind of thingsss you three get up to, you naughty man. Corrupting thisss poor young thing...” She leans forward from the back seat to whisper in your ear, “I approve wholeheartedly, I wouldn’t be able to contain myssself either...”

You shiver slightly, eliciting a predatory grin from Elys. You clear your throat and try to ignore your sudden erection. “Well then, that’s going to distract me...regardless, when we get home, I have some work to do, unfortunately. That means I’m counting on you two to help get Elys settled in, please.”

Both Anna and Maya smile and nod, and now you wish you could be a fly on the wall for that little party.

Soon you arrive home, and the girls walk off to help settle in the new arrival, while you head off to check out an apparent black market website.
