Amy was changed -- both out of her pajamas and into a new, clean diaper - and brought to the common area.

The common area resembled what a normal daycare looked like: small tables and chairs with crayons and paper, foam jigsaws on the floor, and shelves and shelves of toys. The toys were all donations from alumni, the families of students, or finds the staff had found that they thought worked. There were foam blocks and colored rings and an entire bestiary of stuffed animals. For the students whose regression was medium or mild and thus were less of a risk of choking hazards, there were action figures and coloring books, and even a board game or two.
