Play it safe and back out

You can't do this! If someone saw you, you'd never hear the end of it! Even if they weren't upset with you, just think of the humiliation!

You throw your work clothes back on and walk uneventfully to the bathroom. After a quick shower, you finish your homework for the night, turn off the lights, and settle into bed.

It was a good run, you suppose. You found your limit tonight, but at least you'll always have that interesting memory of last night to look back on. You drift off to sleep wondering what might have been had you gone through with it tonight, but assuring yourself you probably made the smart choice for your future.
